[UPDATE] bluelouboyle (4/19/04)

Maybe this should go in puzzles?

Quote:
You seek to find me Christine.
But they who have come before,
Know of the Phantoms Lair.
Evermore.

So I pose to you Raoul,
A riddle of sorts.
Find your way through this chamber of Mirrors,
Or heat yourself up to a corpse.

Music has changed too:

music/math/pi.mid

Well it's pi a la musique
Quote:
The decimal digits of the mathematical constant pi, 3.14159265. . ., ring out an intricate melody that sounds vaguely medieval. Those of the constant e, 2.718281828. . ., progress at a relentless, suspenseful pace. Euler's prime-number-powered phi function bounces about with a semitropical rhythm. Lorenz's butterfly meanders through a ragged soundscape. Pascal's triangle echoes with an eerie beat.

Can be found here:
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/9349/pi.mid

And an explanation:
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/9349/constants.html#pi

We ought to be asking why he changed from the Phantom music to Pi Music? Has to indicate something.

Maybe we are to be searching for a number html instead of a letter html? Esp. if "Second verse same as the first". The first was 1981.

I absolutely agree......and then it begs the question of how the "Case Sensitivity" hint would apply to a number...lol...

BTW....did try !(*!.htm

I think the title of the new page - DDGABcC - is a musical sequence from one of these mathematical songs, and that the number puzzle at the bottom is supposed to tell us which one. Then the knowledge of what function it is would give us a clue to the next page. In case you hadn't noticed, by the way, the /music/math folder contains .mids of all the functions on that page, except for the recursions. The names are the same as on http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/9349/index.html, just type them in.

DDGABcC was the answer to the last puzzle solved, which led us to this page. Wink But you're right; it may have more meaning than we are giving it and shouldn't rule it out.

Well, I figure the name must mean something. We were told what it was by Melody's blog, but it can't just be a random series of letters. Drexel must have chosen that address for a reason.

If you follow the link Varin posted, you'll see the letters ARE notes indeed Smile

Ah. I thought he was referring to Melody's Blog's acrostic. I must have missed that thread.
