TL is getting a little lost here. Didn't know this game was going to be so Yahoo-dependent when I started it. Came here to get away from Yahoo, ya know. Anyway, dmax, are you one and the same with the dmax mentioned in the 11/16 journal? Are you in-game, or a trusted correspondent?

Does anyone keep track of the emails people are receiving? Or are only Yahoo people getting them? If we're not going to be getting livejournal entries any more, then don't people have to share their emails with folks? Is there a database set up somewhere? Don't see one at yahoo. This game isn't good enough to warrant culling through all those posts to find them.

As far as I can tell, it seems as though TNB is posting updates/clarifications on the Yahoo board only, thereby making it a near neccessity.

As for dmax, his post that originally interested me was titled "Re:SPEC:searching for librarian" Follow this thread:

It seemed a bit cryptic and like he had some info that no one else had. After the allusion to a concealed email addy in the journal, he started posting his letters to The Virgin Lady and her responses to him. Some of which are contained in the above thread and some here:

At first people thought it could be "disinformation", until TNB came and posted that:

"As such, if you see someone saying, 'I've received the
following'--and that post exists without deletion from Team Noah
Boddy after 24 hours--then that message received is indeed IN GAME.
This has already occurred on the board. More will happen, very likely"

His posts regarding the Virgin Lady were not removed and then there was mention of him in the journal.

When I posed the question as to whether he was in game or one of us (who had found something we hadn't) he replied:

"I'm a holdover from Push - check the Yahoo group there.
I'm a living, breathin, gotta get my car in the shop today for a brake
replacement, puzzle fan."

As far as I know, no one else has received email from The Virgin Lady since the addy went public...so who knows how it will play out.

As much as I'm enjoying the game I don't relish having to play it through someone else.(no disrespect to Dan intended).

With so many people emailing The Virgin Lady, but no one getting replies (at least not that they've posted) and after reading OurFather's latest journal entry I think he's handing the reins over to her for a bit. This makes complete sense as no one then needs an email reply.She'll be in contact with the group as whole. When there was only one who had the address, it made sense (and was easy) to draw herself into the game by corresponding with him. Now that she's been "verified" and seems like she'll be making contact, I think it unlikely we'll get anything but a possible auto response in our "inboxes".
