Where is he?

I've been trying to figure out where Ewan is from his last map and known position. My best estimate at the moment is Grant's Pass, Oregon.

I don't think anyone has said this recently, but I want to thank you y2kbozo, for keeping up with this oddity.

Agreed. I feel a little bad that there aren't more people actively following this ARG-or-whatever-it-is, since it's clear that SOMEone (or ones) is/are putting some fair amount of time and effort into it.

But honestly, I'm perplexed. I don't even know WHERE to begin with some of the puzzles that Ewan's tossed out so far, and the maps appear to be drawn in a complete vacuum. I can sense a fair amount of frustration on the part of the PMs at the apparent apathy of the player base to their little adventure, but I dunno where to begin. And neither, I'm guessing, does anyone else.

If it's any consolation, Ewan, you're still on my LJ friends list. And I'm still keeping an eye on your wanderings, even if I don't have the slightest clue what to do with them.

True: And it feels as though we're missing a whole lot (judging by some of the "mocking" email from SV). But I have no clue where to start either, I did the Washington map thing, but it didn't get us anywhere.

FWIW ...this is still one of my faves (not sure why, but it is Very Happy )

I've been to Grants Pass. My avatar is FROM Grants Pass. If he comes up to Portland, I'll go after him for you all! Even though I'm just lurkylurkyloo for this one.

Yes, thanks - both to you for keeping up with this, and to the author, if they're lurking, for this. I came to look closely at it only after CTW stopped, adn I'm still trying to absorb all the concepts. (I posted with pride the other day that HE'S IN DURHAM! only to find that I was weeks behind.) So I'll stay quiet until I know more. Anyone got a good summary anywhere?

I can't "play" this intensely, but I'm totally appreciating the amount of intelligence and effort that's going into it.

Here are all of the maps and source files used to create the maps.

Given that Ewan is traveling by rail, I assumed people would look for rail maps. The easiest place to find them? Amtrak.com

I left state boundaries or capitals in as distinguishing features in each map to allow players to more easily match them with the Amtrak map.

No one, as far as I know, made the connection though.
