Re: Marble Hornets becoming a MOVIE!?!?
If it is, I'm praying it will be non-canon.

I just hope that it's BASED on MH, and doesn't involve Trosephim. I'd rather keep the real series going and let this movie fail.

If they really wanted a good film...
1. No Hollywood cliche with all that violence and stuff
2. These people really gotta be well versed in the mythos.
3. Many more stuff.
If they can pull it off, I don't mind, it worked with the Slender Man film (2013), you just need great storytellers and a knowledgeable staff.
But if they have typical staff, then no way.

Probably just an movie based on Slenderman and they are referencing MarbleHornets because it's the most popular Vlog, I really think Trosephim wouldn't do that, And even if they did it without Trosephim, it wouldn't be in MH's universe since Trosephim wouldn't grant them the rights.
Edit: Although the actual Alex Krailie's Marble Hornets movie would be pretty cool.

But according to that article, Kirill Baru's working on it. Maybe he has some rights to the series since he helped produce the DVDs?

This isn't the first time it's been reported that Kirill Baru is trying to make a film out of it.
Keep in mind, that he's just a producer for the series. Most of the creative content is made by Troy and Joseph (and Tim to a lesser degree, but I don't think he started actually writing until the third season).
I'm not sure what the legal status is between all of them, but I certainly hope Baru doesn't keep the name rights.

If the film ends up being named "Marble Hornets", people will look for the trailer on YouTube and will find the original series, and that'll just confuse the shit out of everyone.

Actually, Tim has been adding parts since Season 2.
But yeah, I hope it's something different. It's not meant for a film, and it's definitely not something Trosephim would do.

OH DEAR TIM....
Wtf...
A comedy production company...
With the Paranormal Activity director...
And no actual collaboration??
This is going to be so bad, it might actually be funny.
We can just watch it like it is a parody

I'm talking to Troy about it right now. He says it's legit, it's actually happening, and it's been in the works for a long time. Tim confirmed it as well.
Troy can't tell us any details at the moment (he'd get in trouble if he said too much), but he says to trust them for now.

proof or lies
don't see why they'd turn down a tv series and then pick it up in a movie
nobody would watch a movie of this, at least not enough people to make it profitable. the writing is perfect for a youtube series but for a movie, would have to be ramped up tenfold. even then, the idea of a slender movie just screams "unsuccessful" to me. it's not a big enough thing, the fanbase is still pretty small (youtube hits don't mean anything since each time someone refreshes the page to the video it adds one hit regardless of if they've watched it or not)
plus there's not even a script yet. wanting to make the idea into a movie =/= going through the motions to do so. i would assume it won't be coming out for 3-4 years if it does at all. just don't see why they'd want to make it into a movie... even at an hour and a hal it'd drag on like a motherfucker.

Pravado, did you actually read the article? The script's written by someone named Ian Shorr and it says that production begins in the spring.
And the poster above me just gave proof that Troy's confirmed it, so there you go.
Believe me, I'm feeling just as apprehensive as anyone right now.

Yes, it is something they would do. They're out there finally taking advantage of their fame and name. They can put their name on anything and make money. Why would they be so stupid to limit their potential cash payout? This isn't even sarcasm.
