I'm not entirely sure what to make about this. Given how fast the videos were coming I was pretty sure we were looking at a pre-canned set of videos being posted over the course of a month. This seems to confirm it. The video itself, while updated to say it was posted on August 26th, says within the text of the video that he got an email from Darren on August 30th. Maybe that was last year?

That plus the frequent renaming of files over time, it makes me wonder if they aren't just trying to tell the same story over and over with minor tweaks until they feel they 'get it right'.

OR this is really in game and 3-4 videos in Ulysses suddenly realizes he's done all this before and tries to change the outcome. Ulysses did say in the last video that the new order wanted to reset the town to like it was before.

It'll be interesting to see which way this goes.

Lots of videos, lots of deleted ones aswell, blogs, stuff we have already seen. When are they going to make a series that only involves YouTube and maybe Twitter to some extent, i don't want to be solving riddles, i want to watch something that gives me the chills and entertains me at the same time people. I have no idea what to make of this

I agree with ristar with that. If you're going to delete your videos constantly, why not instead maintain a set plot that doesnt require deletes and resets?
Thats garbage-tier story telling, but to each their own.

My god, how many times has the series restarted? I get a little bored then come back weeks later to see all videos deleted and the entire thing apparently restarted.

Honestly, I really like the resetting. I think it works really well and is an interesting story idea. In fact, it's really good for people who haven't seen it yet because it raises the question of exactly how many times this has actually happened. It's also a creative plot point when we don't see too many of those nowadays. Plus, with the subtle changes each time, it's very theoretically likely that in one of them, Ulysses will realize what's happening and attempt to stop it, which'd be rad.

It might not be a device for everyone, but it's definitely creative, and I, at least, really like it.

I could get behind the idea of deleting and restarting everything if I thought that was an in game choice. If it's part of the story, alright. It sets a pretty high bar, because 'subtle' changes don't work too well when you can't go back and watch the original to catch the differences. So if you rely on that, you better be darn good.

Plus, it requires you to pay attention. Only check the vlog once a month, and you miss out a lot of the story and you can't get it back. It's a vlog in hardcore mode, basically. I'm okay with one story doing this. If that's the intent, I'll give it high marks for innovation and not hand holding it's story and I'm curious to see how it goes.

However, I'm still abut 50% in the camp of the idea they told a story, then realized afterward it had the vaguest of plots and all their attempts to retroactively fix it just kept making it more confusing. Eventually they just decided to hit the reset button and give telling the story a second try.

If that's the case, I understand the reasoning behind it, but I was paying attention the first time and I'm not sure what watching them again will do.

One thing I've noticed... every time he enters the Commonwealth for the first time, it's different. The entrance is in a different location, the layout has some changes, and the camera/location of "the grove" is always a completely different locale. This has definitely got to have storyline significance.
