agreed, it mainly just reminds me of something by h.p lovecraft or the beholders, plus the one in TTNE is most likely the entity himself, due to the way he introduced himself in "what a pleasure"

Edit: This is the wretched abyss from the game Skyrim, this is most probably the influence for hermes in ttne.

I really like the tension in the new one. I also like the way locations are established. This confirms my suspicions; locations are definitely shifting from last time around. I wonder what that means.

Also, yeah, the design is an archetypal idea. Not very likely that TTNE was ripping of HWLL. It looks like the classic beholder design. It also has a little bit of an air of Yog-Sothoth in it. All in all, likely not a ripoff... more likely a neat coincidence. Besides, to be completely honest, I've watched HWLL and I never noticed that character until this screenshot.

But yeah, anyways, not anything to worry about, I think.
