Hey, all. I found out about this site from the Marble Operator podcast. I've been interested in doing ARGs since LG15 but have never been able to catch something from the beginning. I'm looking for a mentor type to work with or just some peeps to offer guidance. Reading through the intros and stuff I noticed that a big suggestion is not to start mid game. I've been watching since the first CL44 vid was released but know nothing about what came before with the websites so I'm not sure if it's too late to jump in.
I'm good with cryptology, riddles, puzzles (think The Stone) and eager to learn more. Too late to jump into this one?
Or, if you know of something good coming up/just starting, please feel free to point me there.
Thanks!
So you basically want someone to help you know more abou CL44 before the broadcast and after. I can try to help out, even though just a bit. Check www.marblehornets.com first.

No, I think I phrased that wrong... essentially... if it's too late to hop into CL44 but there is something else starting that someone is looking to join feel free to let me know (so that I can start at a beginning). Sorry for the confusion.
And if someone wouldn't mind newbie questions during CL44 I'm looking for that, too... like someone who will entertain wild theories from the new.

We're actually just starting CL44. We're only a few videos in and there's a relatively quick primer here. It should get you up to speed with most of what we know already. Watch it and then come back with some questions, and I'll be happy with walk you through what's left.

Thanks, Monitor! I've watched the videos (I think I caught it when they were at Broadcast #3) and I've started listening to Marble Operator and watched/read a bunch of recaps so I'm familiar with what came before (pixels, emails, domain names). Very excited that I caught it somewhat early on. Waiting to see what 141223208655 is...
Also started 88 yesterday so hopefully I'll get lots of practice at these.

WriterNancy, are you up to date with Marble Hornets as well? I think it'd probably be a good idea to have watched that as well before jumping into CL44. I feel MH will be relevant with 44 even if at the moment it's not apparent.

Thanks for the tip, Hazman. I started Marble Hornets but I would get really creeped out by it and stop. Maybe I'll find some recap youtube videos and watch them first thing in the next few mornings so that I don't jump at every noise during the day. I'm a writer so I'm home alone most of the day. I also spend a significant time alone in the woods and MH had me paranoid the whole time.
Yeah... major scaredy cat here.

Well, here's some recap videos.
Some of the stuff in these videos strikes me more as educated speculation, especially towards the end, but it's a good enough recap and covers major points and some of the code-breaking that went on back when MH was ongoing. Enjoy.

Thanks! I am actually almost done with Part 1 of the third season's explanation... took some time today to binge watch before the sun went down and I hid under my bed.

Old News. That video was part of the build up back in April before the first real broadcast. There's a good time line here if you missed all that.

Kind of odd that at this point https://youtu.be/-aHDB7g3dME?t=51 we seem him running right to left. I'm pretty sure it's the only the second time in the video. Is it a sign to pay more attention to the first time? I don't see anything when I go back there.
But I do see something near 0:35 when there is distortion and a tone... it almost looks like characters written in an arch.
Took a screenshot but don't know how to load it here.
