Which is the same text included in the html comments. Why is it repeated there, I have no idea, but... There's that commented code right at the end of the file. If you add that to the domain address as http://funandprettythings.com/build/js/vendor.js.map it leads nowhere, but if you look at the other file included in the source code (http://funandprettythings.com/build/js/chat-1c2c111c14.js), you can see there's another commented code similar to the above posted, except it says:

Following the same idea, I put the filename in the domain as http://funandprettythings.com/build/js/chat.js.map, and this one turned something out:

This is only part of the file, you can see the rest up there, but I did find interesting how the only string within the list that differs the rest is AAAA. It's probably a long shot, but poking into these files looking for clues led me to these findings.


The thing about digging into the source code here is that it's more than likely that this site is being built by some CMS such as wordpress, Drupal, or Joomla (based on the naming conventions and setup of the DOM Tree) in which case a lot of the source code we see has been automatically generated and not actually written by a human.

In the case of console.info, all that does is display the parameters in the browsers console windows. I'm thinking it's just to emphasis the message that Megan wouldn't be looking through the source code and that we shouldn't be.

I'm really skeptical about this one. From my brief look into the thread it seems like the only real connection to Petunia Plastics is based on a gmail account that owns a boldfutura domain name that we can't even confirm is in game.

One thing I noticed about this time around as opposed to the first ARG is that we have two different communities attacking the problem with very different attitudes. Maybe I just didn't notice this kind of conflict of interests in the last ARG because I was just a young teen.

The Reddit community seems to be a little less careful considering what information they consider as a lead, like the ham radio jack earlier and now this potential jack and there is a lot of cross-posting where we get people posting "Check out this clue reddit found" linking to some thread without an actual trail or justification for it.

I'm not trying to throw shade at the Reddit community; I'm just making an observation on the different attitudes of the communities.

**Edit** That youtube channel has tones of videos dating back more than a year; hours of edited footage. I also checked that twitter acount; there isn't a link that I can tell from that twitter account to anything cloverfield related which makes me question it's involvement.

I have to agree with you. I think if they were going to have a Bold Futura site, it would be boldfutura.jp (which is an open domain btw), because Slusho is .jp and so is tagruato, so it wouldn't make sense to have boldfutura be a .com site.

However I'm uncertain if we are actually suppose to guess the 2nd password, or maybe to wait for a reply. Either way many other people are smarter than I am and will hopefully figure stuff out for me to watch Very Happy

You're not wrong, but apparently Petunia Plasticine is absolutely a fake/shell company Bad Robot uses for it's projects and registering domains.

However it's possible they are getting "chocolate in their peanut butter" and getting separate Bad Robot ARGs mixed up.

I would however like to remind you that this script has existed since 2012 and the movie was shot a year ago. It's not actually at all impossible for some things to have been set up a long while ago.

Also Domain look ups are pretty old school core parts of every ARG I've ever seen. It helps people ID IG sites. The question is whether the weird video and Twitter are IG. I'm not sure. I agree it seems unlikely but it's an ODD coincedance.

Oh and right now whatever the DOTA ARG is has dozens and dozens of super weird YouTube involved videos so it's not impossible, however unlikely (although I do think too much content is a good sign of OG normally).

If Howard works there it's possible it's a U.S. based subsidiary which would make no sense to have a .jp address. Unlike Tagruato and Slusho which we know to be Japanese based.

The employee of the month stuff tells us they have offices and employees all over for their subsidiary's - Africa, India, Japan and the U.S. Would make sense to have international websites for them.

Agreed. Lots of chasing their own tail over there, and a big emphasis on arguing about how right they are and getting aggressive about it. Just like when it bled over into this forum and we got aggressively lectured about how "obvious" it was that Swamp Pop was IG. Rolling Eyes

I would guess at this point that our next step is waiting for the chat transcript to update. Hopefully we'll see a response to Howard.

I don't think you can use the international-ness as an argument either way. The home splash page for Tagruato has you select a language and it only works if you select English, and that still takes you to .jp. I think it could be either one.

Agreed. I feel the answer is literally staring us in the face (FUPT). Is everyone else putting a period at the end of their attempt? Considering we needed the '?' to advance the puzzle I suppose it would be needed for the secret gift question.

I think we all have been scratching around everything from communication devices to teen music. I've also been trying the survivalist approach. I so want to break this passcode!

Edit: Also, I think Kos brings up a good point about the letters on the FUPT page
Is anyone else playing around with that cause I'm coming up with a whole lotta nothing.

The only hint I can see is it could be something associated with turning 13 as in finally becoming a Teenage girl ... something for her maybe that celebrates her growing up but that her mother would disapprove of??

Without another clue its gonna be hit n miss to find out a secret that only those two know..

 		Was anything ever given to Molly Ringwald in the movies. I know 16 candles was based around her birthday.. did she get anything?

Was she given a gift in pretty in pink? I also see the letters:
