I disagree. The way the emails were working: they replied to a bunch {but not all} in January in a batch. Then they did the same thing in February. Both times the employee of the month jumped out - in Jan because it was a recent date, and in Feb because it was the only part of the form letter that had changed. It seems to me they wanted us to focus on that, as there was no purpose to the emails at all other than to highlight "employee of the month"

 		Ok, found something else: the star and laurel? It might be the seal of Texas. Just like the licence plate is from Texas.

Maybe it means Paris Texas? It is the most famous Paris outside of France, I'd say.

But why is it front of the Hollywood Hills? The movie Paris Texas?

Or perhaps because the just took the picture themselves/stole a photo online {which they did for almost all of that} because it looked "mysterious" and it's just being way over analyzed but has no actual meaning? Wink

Well that's entirely possible. I definitely tracked down the original source of the ice cream picture and found it to be absolutely less than nothing.

I only started digging into this because everyone else is convinced it is something and it's taking over the conversation.

Well, here it is, I've basically proven it's a picture taken in front of the Hollywood Hills and the tower is a small model placed on a bronze seal of Texas. I can not unsee it now, I'm sure this is what it is.

Either it's nothing or it's something. Who even knows at this point!

I just think there are less weird, more straightforward eiffel tower pictures they could use, if they're grabbing things off the internet.

Unless maybe the clue *is* Paris Texas? Although the eiffel tower there has a cowboy hat on the top, so that would have been far clearer.

But Pixie, I am nearly done counting all the trees in the picture, once done I plan to extrapolate their size and distance in order to 3-D print a 1:6 scale version. And then.. and then.. maybe I will burn it, while humming the tune from Close Encounters, and see if the plastic drips into a pattern that can be further analyzed for clues...

Interesting work, gimlet. Here's a Photospheres shot I found from the Observatory itself. It seems like about the right distance, but I think the point of view would have to be farther off to the right to get the FAPT field of view:

Texas, belt buckles, LA, the observatory, jewelry making with beads, Howard, soft little kitties. CBS-Paramount...

The Big Bang theory.

On the superbowl there was an ad saying a big secret will be revealed in the episode tommorow.

 		Dont know about the Hills or Griffith Park etc.. But if you magnify the ET pic there appears to be what looks like dead corpses strewn about under the structure and the picture has what looks like gas or some mist around the edges clouding the areas around the sides and base. Almost looks like some poisonous gas or radioactive cloud coming from the bottom that might have killed those under it.. What it has to do with this story .. havent a clue.. but they did doctor the pic for a reason.. however vague that may be..

MEW seems to be sharpening a stake with a knife. This is in both trailers. I think it's important, but not sure how. There's a reason it's in both trailers, but I've haven't seen it brought up before. I don't think it necessarily will give us any extra clues for the ARG, but it might give us some insight as to what's really going on.

As for the ARG, since there are misspellings in Howard's letter, what if the answer is also misspelled, possibly on purpose? Just a thought!

I just think this episode is being heavily promoted via that "big secret," is distrubuted by the same corporation, and has a similar nerdy audiance.

Of all the things on television right now it would make sense to do either cross promotion, or just a new trailer airing there. There's a big blockbuster 200th episode in a few weeks, and it's the top rated sitcom in America, and happens to be on a network they own. They clearly want eyeballs on this stuff, hence the superbowl ads for both properties.

Let's not forget the slusho sightings on Heroes pre-Cloverfield, which was comparitively stupid and synergistic.

We know there are 4 new trailers dropping in the next few days too. Also Bad Robot has done some synergistic stuff with them before, like apparently the entirety of the last big episode they did being tied into the Force Awakens.

It's far from fucking crazy and I don't even WANT OR LIKE IT. I think it would be stupid. But it makes sense in a few ways.

wasn't Slusho a thing pre-cloverfield? Wasn't it just a J.J Easter egg that appeared in the background of all his stuff? Either way, I don't buy it. It seems really sloppy and I doubt theres a huge crossover of fans between a family-friendly sitcom and a thriller/horror/monster movie
