Okay guys...
this may be out of left field, but I think I found something very important. Today I was looking at the 10 Cloverfield Ln. poster and I saw something in the clouds. Now we all know that J.J. just put out Star Wars The Force Awakens and there is some confusion about someone in that movie. Now check out the picture I posted and you will notice that Darth FREAKING Plagueis is in the clouds on the poster!

My mind is racing at what this could mean!

I'm just joking, but thought it was funny when looking at the clouds.

Also wanted to say keep up the amazing work guys! Just like the first movie I know you guys will break all the codes.

It's been nothing but grasping at straws..... you think they will give you a clue saying "this website will become I game when the movie launches" - first, that kind of meta is horrible, and I would hope to fraking hell JJ wouldn't do that. Secondly, a game that launches after the movie comes out is pretty piss poor marketing, eh?

I really don't think anything is happening. I think everyone wants something SO bad that they are seeing what they want to see when and where they want to see it. I think you may have stumbled upon interesting stuff, maybe even hidden messages, from unrelated stuff.

I'd love if I was wrong, but I have yet to see anything (outside of the cute Promotional tie to swamp pop, which I still don't see as anything more than that) with any real validity. Of course, I also won't go to Reddit to fish for explanations so perhaps I am missing something.... But it just looks like straw everywhere.

Does nobody else think that the "typo" in the email "unf.orseen" is just a nod to this website? I still really just think that Swamp Pop is playing into their new found publicity and, at the moment, isn't part of any larger marketing plan by Paramount, but maybe I'm the only one...

I've been following this for a bit now and for what it's worth, I agree that people seem to be grasping at straws. Still, it's a very effective trailer and made me go back and rewatch Cloverfield.

I agree that it's all grasping at straws--the long/lat stuff seems especially weak to me, though I am not so sure that there isn't a game afoot. I really want to believe in this Swamp Pop lead but am hesitant until we find anything else.

Looks like some reddit people are driving out to the locations on the Swamp Pop map to investigate, but I doubt they will find too much. I ordered a case of Satsuma Fizz, but the more I think about it the more I realize that they, as an established brand, have no way of filtering out who is playing a game or not (if there is one) and would not likely have clues in the packaging material a la Slusho!. Time will tell on that one.

Considering today is the 8th anniversary (god, I have been holding on to this shit for so many years) I am confident that we will get something if there's anything to get.

Should this pan out, will we be creating a new game thread for this movie or keeping it under the Cloverfield one?

I don't think we are grasping at anything thats too unrealistic. While I admit there might not actually be a real ARG happening, the old ARG escalated so quickly because we weren't afraid to grasp at straws. In a matter of weeks we had the main website which eventually gave us the name of jamie lascano (and eventually even the Clover's roar) who wasn't even a main character in the movie but that led to us the myspace page of all the main people. We got the slusho website from the shirt in the original trailer and that led to tagruato and the entire mess with the chuai station and TIDOwave. All of that was possible because we checked and rechecked every possible clue no matter how weird or obscure it was. thankfully there so many people here who followed from the very start back in '07 and have any idea as to what kinda stuff to check.

even if this all ends up being nothing im already accepting swamp pop as head canon. lol

[edit: i know people ran the audio through a spectrogram but has anyone done a simple speedup or slowdown or the sounds at the end? someone on reddit was saying that they possibly hear a monster roar or helicopter blades around the 1:30ish mark and onward but to me it just sounds like something is sped up and distorted]
