Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm excited to be on another hunt in another Bad Robot movie.

I remember 8 years ago trying to figure stuff out for Cloverfield, and it was a lot of fun. I feel like looking for the clues was almost as good as watching the movie haha. I was never on Unfiction before (used IMDb at the time), but have since seen the awesome posts that occurred at that time.

Anyways, looking forward to finding hopefully finding some clues!

I found the Catfish puzzle from the trailer:

https://www.seriouspuzzles.com/catfish-550pc-jigsaw-puzzle-by-white-mountain.html

It would be fun if this leads somewhere, but I can't help but feel we are getting catphished by Swamp Pop.

Has anyone tried to ask the Swamp Pop Facebook page if their product was featured in a movie?

No because most of us here understand the rules of ARG = don't break the 4th Wall.

But look, see: it's "out of stock", just like the Long-Term Supply of Swamp Pop. What could this meeeeean?

Jump right in...the water's deep, dark murky and spooky...don't know what's down there - if anything - and there'll probably be some turbulence. Just remember we're all in this boat together!

Doesn't mean anything because they're not IG. There's zero that points back to the trailer. I'd almost wager they don't even realize their puzzles in the trailer anymore than Clancy does! Seems you didn't get your dots to connect right on the relevance of SP??

Seriously at this point I'm thinking we wait. There's literally nothing to go on atm. It sucks but I have a feeling that if swamp pop is in game they will contact those including myself who inquired about their long term supply.

I was, yes. Sorry about that, but even though it's pretty cool that someone found the puzzle (I tried to do the same with the magazines, to no avail), the Swamp Pop link is still missing on me. I'm still waiting for those who will receive their orders, so there's that, we should probably know by then.

By the way, I doubt it's at all accidental the amount of Eiffel towers in the trailer, there's got to be something with that, although I'm not totally sure it's the bunker itself, was thinking more about stuff underground like the endless catacombs underneath, something crawling inside, just like we see MEW in the vents. Monsters indeed come in many forms so a Tremors-like mutated monster could be just as mindblowing. Just a theory I was considering while spinning a possible monster for this same-universe-blood-relative sequel.

since we have literally nothing else to go on I left the movie website open for like an hour....no roar or any other noises for that matter. If i recall though, that was added like a week or even longer after the website went up during the original ARG. Man, there was so much random cool stuff. why cant we accidentally stumble onto anything hereeeeeee. And no, I wont accept its because there's nothing to stumble onto lol

The first time we all heard 'that roar'... Shocked ...and then it was 'crazy-town-time' throughout the forum! Dissecting MGPs roar - playing it backwards, and at different speeds and pitches, trying to uncover...anything.

Good times, good times...

And asking the Facebook page that question, which is vague and didn't mention a specific movie referred to, as breaking the 4th wall?

The reason I asked, I wanted to know if they acknowledged it or dismissed it.

Two things
1: some of those Reddit users have a hard time paying attention. My God they do not listen at all.
2: apparently there was some random user by the name of "Mr.4813" posting good leads and then deleted his account. The details of it got a little confuttled though. Can anyone shed some light on what that was about? Trying to look at this and work at the same time is difficult lol.

There is an unwritten rule in ARGs: puppet masters doesn't put any clue in meta forums like imdb, UnFiction, reddit. They can follow the players via Twitter or send them mails, but never ever give their 2 cent into meta discussion. Sure, there were many PMs who broke this law, but not Bad Robot.

So if some random guy post some clues and hints in reddit or UnFiction, you can be sure for 99% it's a hoax, troll or Gamejack. The best clues come from sources nobody count with.

The less connection it seems to have, the more chances are to find the right hint.

UPDATE (to prevent double postings).
Eiffel Tour Bunker sounds like a great idea.
Can somebody now in Paris please check it out? Perhaps they have a museum or so?

There was a fake post from their PR manager, but those are the only words that have even remotely come from the company, so no they haven't actually said anything about it.
