Memory Lane

I have also been looking at the Memory Lane puzzle. I was wondering what was up with that creepy guy with dice!

Also, am I seeing things or is there a tiny Eiffel Tower under the transistor radio card? If so, the placement is interesting with the tower having been used as a radio transmitter. The card is right on top of it! Maybe I'm just seeing things.

This puzzle has got way too much in common with the trailer. I feel like we were at least meant to find it--whether or not it contains any clues to anything.

So what's the consensus here? Gamejack or no? Also, any new leads on the puzzle pieces... I haven't had internet for a few days due to the crazy blizzard and I feel so behind D:

Mainly a lurker but given the breaking of the 4th wall with the JJ Abrams quote i feel it is OOG/gamejack. Still reading and following in case something develops but I feel the SP Puzzle pieces should be more of a focus, but that lead seems to have stalled too

Ok, I've been saying for a while there's no baseline for this puzzle. It's odd.

I'm finding there is one, maybe. But if it's there, it's waaaaay more complicated than "antiquated technology"

It's more like a really big, elaborate word puzzle connecting clusters of items. Which would explain why the fishy sounding description mentions "puzzles buried in antiquated technology." It's like a New York Times crossword told in photo collage.

Some of them are obvious (toys, games, albums, dolls)

But then they start to get... Cute.

Cowboys (Roy & Dale lunchbox, Howdy Doody, Lyle Lovett & his Large Band)

Rotors (antique rotary sewing machine, rotary phone, and cash registers)

Jacks (jumping jack, ball and jacks, car jack)

Magnetic Data Storage (Floppy disks, 8 Tracks, Cassette tape)

There's more, but I think I need help at this point.

Is our friend the creepy automaton (aka a bad robot) telling us this is IG?

Just for the record, I actually agree.

I did however want to share this with the forum as I saw it just a couple of minutes after it went online. And I didn't think we had reached consensus about not following it up. My apologies if it where out of place.

I'll keep monitoring all sorts of trails (even Gimlet's crazy memory lane investigation Laughing ) as I'm actually liking the creative anarchy that's going on right now, while still enjoying the civilized place that is the unfiction forums.

The puzzle piece slowdown is probably due to not everyone who ordered receiving their soda yet. I should be getting my soda soon with pieces (hopefully!)

Puzzle

I myself almost did that but noticed the inventory count on Amazon had gone down, 5 to 3, after it was discovered so figured someone else would get it first anyway. Nice going

Not any kind of a ARG clue, but it was talked about earlier about what's outside the window, I have a couple better screen grabs one which I lightened up, and to me it looks like a cement pad with yellow barrels with bushes behind it.
Screen grabs are huge so I just put links.

Congrats! You have an IG collectable....of an OOG part of a ARG.
I'd buy the Catfish game in an instant if I could find it, someone said over on e-bay but not where I really want to buy from unless maybe it's still sealed.

Doubled checked the White Mountian site just for the heck of it......still cannot get over the coincidence that the product number for this puzzle is 724819253814
In a few weeks it might be going for a few hundred dollars if found.

Some things from the trailer

Ok, some things in the trailer worth noting?

1. I found Yoda

Yoda appears to be one of those magnetic pincer things that came in a kids meal or something , wife says it was out of a cereal box for episodes 1,2 or 3. That would fit in line with all the cereal we see in the trailer. I recall having one back in the late 90's or early 2000's but cannot remember exactly how we got it.
2. Pictures on the refrigerator, however they are hard to make out. One looks like an older skyscraper.

3. I find it interesting that the zoom in so close on the board game (Game of Life).

Where her piece lands on the board.

Probably nothing but worth a look?

Hi long time lurker, love to follow you all !..
Anyway.. I've obsessively followed this thread, Thought I would just mention a funny coincidence, which shows how desperately I am seeing things that aren't there.
iVe been looking looking at the memory lane puzzle, checked out the slot machine, converted the card numbers to letters, 7, 9, 3, 10,10, converted to letters.. G, I, c, j,j.
Which makes.. Gee I see JJ !!
Also there's a 10 of clubs, which look like clovers, 10 cloverfield !
I love how the mind can make connections out of nothing! Embarassed Embarassed

Actually, that XOR picture got an alpha chann

Actually, that XOR string.exe picture got an alpha channel.

http://i.imgur.com/PXMFyGy.jpg

I am 3D artist for a longer time now (1997) and within i probably opened a lot of pictures in Photoshop, 99,9% success rate. Now, i was not able to open both, Swamp Pops Soda image and the XOR pic from the string.exe inside Photosho. So, i tried to open them in IrfanView - giving me the information that its actually an png with alpha..

- It shows a quite different clover that..somehow looks like a puzzle piece cutted in pieces and overlaid.

- Aside the QR Code.. the BW imagery looks pretty like some coastal lines.

And there must be also something strange going on with the Swamp Pop picture from here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/10cloverfieldlane/comments/42o0zw/26_dots_on_swamp_pop_image/
I am not being able to open it in Photoshop (the Facebook pic works, probably FB re-encodes it) and Irfan View is not showing an Alpha channel unlike our XOR picture. This leads me to think that there must be another thingy underlying this pic. What methods are common to figure that out?

Wow!

Didn't think the Memory Lane puzzle would get this much attention when I posted it! Never experienced an ARG first-hand before and it's just getting more and more exciting! Very Happy

I found this looking through the swamp pop uploads

this file is weird -

also in the preview we don't see him push the number 1 on the jukebox although it appears he did it is edited out.

has there been a comprehensive steganography study of the bootleg trailer?
anyone got that link? I have been trying to find it - I am an audio engineer and want to analyze both.

http://www.jjtc.com/Steganography/tools.html

these are some great tools for finding stuff, I have hidden liner notes in albums for clients to save on printing.
