I have a humble suggestion: based on the pics and the fact that one of the users bought the original puzzle, it would be a good idea if you guys could collaborate and try and locate each piece as an x,y coordinate in the spreadsheet, that way you can keep a closer control of all the pieces gathered until now. Based on the shapes and colors, it shouldn't be too hard to accomplish.

I think I might do something like this... Probably do X,Y coordinates that I put in the spreadsheet, and then also start updating the completed puzzle image to mark the pieces that we've gotten so we can get a visual representation that way too.

The pig design

Quote:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Interestingly - and this is now spoilerish speculation - the Character designer I mentioned earlier has a new design on his site called "pig parasite." This could mean they kept the great script moment in, but adapted it slightly to the Cloverfield world.

.

At the bottom of the page with the design, it states it was by someone in one of his classes. So it's very likely not for the movie. I can't get to the page right now, sorry.

So what it actually says on that particular page of Kurt Papstein's *Portfolio* site is:

"More class demos for my creatures and characters class at LCAD. Concept by Paul Richards."

Firstly, you don't put other peoples' work on your Portfolio site. It isn't done.
Secondly, in movies and video games one person does a *concept* sketch and another takes that painting and turns that concept into a 3d model or sculpture. Which is what Kurt Papstein has done. With Paul Richards sketch, I would assume.

In fact, there's a Paul Richards who is a fellow character and concept artist - website here: http://www.autodestruct.com who also works in Video games and works mainly in 2d. I'm betting he's the same Paul Richards.

Re: "The Cellar" spec script

I didn't download it myself, just found it here:

If it helps, I'm usually mobile & have a Dropbox app that the file automagically opens in. Just checked it, and the file still works for me.

Thank you!!

Okay. But if it *is* for this film, you wouldn't display it in public, right? With all the secrecy, I don't think BR would want that revealed. Can anybody figure out when that (edit: design) was added?

Thanks, I've updated the spreadsheet =)

If anyone else gets pieces today or later this week let me know so we can keep track! I'm hoping people start getting pieces that have some sort of message on them, maybe it will only be a small percentage of the pieces even and they'll save them for last... one can only hope there's something to this!

Here are my pieces I got today

The pigs thing is two fold.

Firstly, there are pig themed knick-knacks in the bunker.

It leads me to believe something about the spec script is true:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The setting in the spec script is implied to be a pig farm

And really, really big spoiler that you really shouldn't click on unless you plan on reading the script or are ok with potentially spoiling an reveal in the movie:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
One of the times Michelle reaches the outside window of the bunker she sees a bunch of rotting pigs killed by chemical warfare through it.

Interestingly - and this is now spoilerish speculation - the Character designer I mentioned earlier has a new design on his site called "pig parasite." This could mean they kept the great script moment in, but adapted it slightly to the Cloverfield world.

And, having read that, leads me to believe even more strongly, that whatever's in the barrel that JGs character is about to open (in the trailer)...is seriously unpleasant.

"Nopenopenopenope"...times infinity. Laughing

I ordered a 4-pack of the Filé Root Beer, and received it today. Here are my puzzle pieces:

Hm, no names again. But its kinda strange that in most puzzle pieces (3 in a pack) contains one from the sky, one from the palustrade where the names are and the third one shows some random iron part. Say, they're pretty different.

I know you guys don't like the reddit stuff, mine either when it comes to management of everything. But here's something interesting from one of these "quasi" Args from the ham guy.

Liverpool City Area is 43.18 sq mi (111.84 km2)

Hello everyone. It's good to be back here after all these years (most active on Cloverfield thread in 2008). I ordered some swamp pop and when I get my pieces I will post them here. Just wanted to say hello again!

~~~~~ Did some minor house cleaning - some images being posted were too large and broke the size of the forum. Since I've been checking the forums mostly from my phone recently, I didn't see that until just now. Any time you have a large picture, please add as attachment, not embed. Thanks! ~ Pixie
Awesome, I'll add you to the spreadsheet when you get your pieces. If you get a chance to look up your Swamp Pop order number please include it in your post! (Helps keep things organized). Here's the spreadsheet again for reference:
