I think the image was supposed to lead us to the "pickup sticks" idea, but as far as I can tell that was it. The logic of the 3/2/2 sticks:

_ _ _
_ _
_ _ alternating with the O E and I in order gives you

///-O-E -//-I-//, or 3 sticks to make a letter followed by O, E followed by 2 sticks to make a letter..etc... I am not sure about the placements though, Electric Hippo brilliantly solved that part.
I think the meaning of the alphabet pic was to get us to use the sticks to only make consonants, as the vowels needed were already provided.

Thanks for the compliments guys, but really I give ElectricHippo and Christmas a lot of the credit, I just filled in the gap. After finding "not eleven, but....." I was really stuck on wanting the answer to be 8. Silly magister. And don't worry Booba, I pretty much get lost in any forest I enter.

Thanks HappyPhantom!

Just wanted to make sure I had squared everything off and hadn't missed a logical step for the future =)

As you say a huge grats to everyone involved in tweezing out this solution!!

I think that brings us up to date on things to solve now.

Fantastic job everyone!

I wonder when we will hear back regarding our applications to the Pergamum Project?!

I love The Magister's clever attention to detail, for example:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Password "Ares" who is the God of War. Hidden quote on application: "Make love, not war." Ares being the Goddess of Love, Aphrodite's, one true, yet tumultuous love that bore a child by the name of Harmonia.

Winter sent us such a lovely email <3

"My Dearest Keepers,

I am writing to you because I know that my beloved Keepers span the globe, inhabiting so many beautiful countries and corners of this Earth. I just want you to know that in these times of darkness and violence and anger, you are in my thoughts.

As part of the Keeper mission, I hope we can shine light into dark and dusty corners, bringing hope and happiness to those who despair and who wonder if the world can be a better place. The answer to so much ignorance and anger can only be knowledge and wisdom. The more we learn about the world we live in, the more we open the doors to education and enlightenment, the more we will come together as a global society.

The Fool's Journey is about traveling outward, to meet the people of the world and hear their stories. It is also about traveling inward, for it is only in knowing ourselves deeply that we can begin to understand others.

As the story continues to unfold, I will carry you in my heart and pray for your safety.

All of my love always,

Winter

"Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
Love her, and she will watch over you."

~Proverbs 4.6"

Which gives us the password for Application on the project website

Ares

Not sure if it's just a glitch on my end but this PW doesn't work for me. Nevermind - it has to be all lowercase. Shocked

ETA - Did everyone get the same quote after they sent their application?

I wasn't sure what to write for my application so I borrowed a line from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

I apply my personality in a paste.

Clever. I love that movie!

I wrote some randomness about Greek mythology in my application.

Apparently my answer was incorrect so hopefully some of you have better luck. Just heard back from the Magister...

Quote:
Thank you for your application.

Although you are a worthy candidate, you must try again.

Congratulations! You have passed the first test. You will receive your invitation for membership shortly.

Cherry there is something you need to do with the info received after you applied. The magister asked not to directly share the answer but this is an oog forum and that little nudge should help Wink

Don't fret Cherry. Got an identical reply. Absolutely wish you luck further yet I'm not keen on discussing "Make Love, Not War" with the Magister if that's what it takes.

EDIT: There's a "library" change on the PProject website.

Yeah, I got the 'try again' reply too.

If it has something to do with the quote that appears after sending the application, then I'm stumped. I don't even understand what that means Laughing Language barrier Rolling Eyes
