new ARGN banner

well, it's more than a little confusing ;-)

I didn't see any general announcement about a collaboration or merger. And the fact that the color schemes don't match implies that these are still two separate entities. Wasn't the old ARGN color scheme actually more of a match?

btw, the new ARGN banner tries to link to www.unforums.com -- is that a future domain name or a typo?

And i'll come right out and admit that i so rarely go to the homepage of either of these organizations, I often am under the delusion that the BB forums are the sum total of their identities. When people talk about ARGN being closed, they are obviously working under the same delusion.

So all i really wanted to say is that i'm probably not the only person who could use some clarification about the relationship between all of these "member sites" -- what are they members of?

There is a good explanation in this news story on deaddrop.us:

http://www.deaddrop.us/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=66&mode=&order=0&thold=0

Also check out http://www.argn.com for more info!

And www.unforums.com is just a redirect to forums.unfiction.com/forum/.

You're correct, this is not a merger but rather a group of like-minded sites getting together to create a network. We think our sites all offer unique and complementary resources for the community.

Actually, it's a current domain name that, along with unforum.net is supposed to forward here. GoDaddy.com is apparently experiencing some problems. Confused

I am shocked, nay, appalled. Wink Seriously, I do post things to my Rumors and Site News sections that don't always make it into here, not to mention the interviews, articles, editorials, and game info in the Compendium. Unfiction.com did come before the Unforums, after all, and these forums were really intended for discussion of site content and meta-level issues for the gaming community. I am happy with how the Unforum community has developed, however. It's a very pleasant and informed place to discuss everything ARG, IMHO.

Probably. The ARGN forums were closed, to the chagrin of many. However, ARGN is sticking around for a while yet.
