I also love the changing focus. Howards being paranoid is still living in the world of Cold War. Or he know... ehm... things from his military times.

I wonder if the satellite at the end of Cloverfield was actually a Russian one. And perhaps is Tagruato connected with it in some new and fresh way?

Or the whole thing is just a ill vision of paranoid Howard?

Anyway, I'll complement the typo thread.

Just had to share that.

So, I have been searching around the inter-webs for Soviet satellites that would match or closely match the ones described in the update, and have found nothing that is a good match. So I'm thinking that satellites are purely fictional with no real world matchup. If we are meant to find information on these satellites, it would only be in ARG related sites. Should we be looking to known fictional sites for satellite news or leaks? And what would that info lead to? What do we think the end-game for the ARG is? Do we have as much of the backstory as we're going to get, or is there more?

For me, through the ARG discoveries and JJ interviews, I'm feeling like this is going to be a very different kind of movie than we have been trying to piece together. I'm not sure that there is going to be any kind of Clovie monster at all. MONSTERS COME IN ALL FORMS may mean the kind of monsters WE become when restricted and not in control, and not have freedom of movement, such as the case would be locked in a bunker. The outside threat, in Howard's mind, is the Soviets, with their spy satellites, gathering attack information. We have next to nothing pointing to monster or alien involvement. The tangent relation between Cloverfield and 10CL is that Howard works for Bold Futura and with satellite communications.
This latest update, with more talk of Soviet satellites has me wondering if we are trying to piece together a Cloverfield type monster movie, when in fact, it's going to be a psychological thriller about being trapped and out of control.
