No, you're not (totally) nuts, I think it's the "deep" part of this that is indeed a bit ominous... And then adding nuts to it just goes and turns it into a balls joke.

I mean if it had said "Deep Crimson" or "Deep Entity" well... It would be harder to dismiss.

New crazy Gimlet theory™: the PMs ARE 13 year old boys. Would explain some things, actually.

EDIT: Actually it really would explain why fun and pretty things acronyms out to... What it does.

 		Heaven help us- according to this site http://www.pmel.noaa.gov/foci/operations/2004/Instructions/hx288/HX288-2004cr.pdf "nuts" and "deep nuts" are real things. In this instance it's short for nutrients.

Anyways, here's a lead from Reddit that seems more promising to wash the taste out of our mouths of... Whatever that last thing was.

The official Navy magazine is called "All Hands."

So I guess in our bizzaro Cloverfield universe, the Official Navy's magazine is named after the other half of that phrase. Neat.

The Reddit user found this out while researching that whole IRL treason case that Howard mentioned. The Febuary 1987 issue has more details on it.

There's 50 years of back issues though. If there's something else we're supposed to find there, we're gonna need a hint.

The Coast Guard magazine Reservist actually had a section called On Deck it seems. I think the women in the picture wore Coast Guard uniforms? http://reserve.uscg.mil/files/mag/57022010.pdf

Long time lurker, first time poster. Anyone else notice how Seasat1's orbit crosses over near the Kaika Station on Tagruato's deep-sea drilling map? Could be something.

Edit: I could be misunderstanding orbital movements though. Seasat's current orbit puts it over the Puerto Rico Trench, but it seems that orbit can change geographically base on Earth's rotation. Still something to keep an eye on though.

The Kaika Station is along the Puerto Rico trench and this is a conspiracy theorist site. Again, OOG, but a possible inspiration.

I think you're looking passed the rising spaceship looking thing. It literally looks like a saucer ship, which is... weird. Not to mention the electric sound and the particles floating towards it. I may not like it, but I'm convinced this is some sort of UFO movie.

That's a great question, cause after an hour of messing with tools, I was NOT able to get a clean of a shot as that. It looks like a saturation/exposure alteration. But they must have used color dodge or something because that is very clear compared to anything I tried.
