I've seen once the guy with "Geronimo Jackson" t-shirt walkin' down a street here in Germany. I wanted to call him, just didn't know what to say Very Happy

My Geronimo Jackson Tshirt is one of my faves ❤️❤️❤️

New Updates to the sim.
One of which is pictured here:

I believe there is a new sentence in there about Megan using her Chicago shelter.

I think that's been there. Though today was my first actual attempt with the sim since I have been busy. I noticed it earlier this afternoon when all the text started popping up on my screen. Doesn't seem to push us anywhere though.

Fixing things?

Can anyone tell me (if it's even possible) how to fix something when it breaks? I don't see a command for that. I was told a water pipe busted and I lost 25% of my water and if I didn't fix it I would lose more. I was at about 300 days. My two people died fairly quickly after that.

If Howard says to let him know if there are problems with the game - is there a way to contact him? I see there is a twitter but not much there, do we have an email for him?

Also - I think there is a new update to FAPT:
I CAN SEE YOU'RE STILL USING THE SIM, MEGAN, AND I KNOW YOU CAN DO BETTER. I'VE GONE THROUGH AND MADE SOME CHANGES BASED ON MY LATEST FINDINGS. FOR INSTANCE, BEING ON YOUR OWN DOWN THERE WON'T BE SO EASY IN REALITY. SO NOW IT'S NOT SO EASY IN THE SIM EITHER. IT'S NOW A BETTER TEST OF YOUR PREPARATION APPROACH, AND SHOULD MAKE YOU THINK TWICE ABOUT TRYING TO GO IT ALONE. WE'RE LOOKING AT 2 YEARS AT MINIMUM. AND IT'LL PROBABLY EVEN LONGER.

ALONG THOSE LINES, A TIP – MORALE MAY SEEM TO BE LESS IMPORTANT THAN HARD SUPPLIES. BUT IT'S NOT. TRUST ME, I KNOW.

KEEP TRYING AND DON'T LET ME DOWN.

LOVE,

DAD

IDK that there's a way to fix anything, that's just the wording used in the Survival Event - at least previously. We'll have to play to see if there are new options in addition to the new specs in this update.

EDIT: I just checked - if you start with only 1 person, you'll only have 50% Morale, and playing games barely keeps you even, doesn't seem to increase morale at all. With 2 people, you start with 100% Morale. If you kill the 2nd on off, you don't lose moral points for it, but your morale starts dropping more quickly.

This is going to slow down all the people who've been playing with just 1 person.

Sounds like we've gotta try playing as one person and see how far we can get.

EDIT: Having read it a second time over, it actually sounds like PM's are trying to steer us. When we started working on the Sim Howard mentioned how he's happy to see she's getting his messages blah blah blah. Now he's saying "Now it's harder to do it with 1 person and we're looking to survive around 2 years" so I'm guessing the goal here is actually to survive as long as the simulation can allow you to survive. Basically max out your days. This shit's way hard so it'll be a few days I think before anyone hits the magic 815.

I've only tried playing with wo people. The one I just ran - Person a died with no reason at 43 days.

Person B died at 235 days but it says:

Quote:
Person A has died. It's very sad but you have no time to waste on mourning. You have to properly dispose of the body?

Why would that be a question and why with the only two people in the bunker dead?

person A was healthy 53% and while morale was low (Failure in 14.8 days - so really low) why did they die with time still on the clock?

I've just been using the fill command for supplies though I think it starts you off with way more aid than necessary so I tweaked that down from 23 (I think is what it started me with) to 15 and added the units I gained to water.

I've been using the fill command because in all of this Howard has been the one setting up the bunkers and Megan hasn't really had any part of that so I figured it would start me with the appropriate supplies. Maybe I'll try without tweaking at all based on that guess.

This is stupid hard.

I got a few interesting events that are new to me. Anyone else?

Lasagna Night

They all resulted in an increase in morale, which is new for me! All of my previous events were disasters of some kind that only took from me.

Nice! Although I'm surprised that if Howard's Twitter is IG that it wasn't spaghetti salad night.

I'm thinking it's pretty random. Just started a new one and so far at 83 days a fire broke out and depleted my food, then (and even though they are fine in stats) it says my fish are dying from infection so I don't see them lasting much longer.

EDIT - they actually went 257 days before running out of water.

I just got Ice Cream for Breakfast. The rules are different now."

it seemed to happen when I got through an overlapping job scheduling period successfully. Made it to 374.16 days on that one - but I killed the 2nd person off at around 240 something days & it immediately got harder.

EDIT: it's possible that if we keep 2 people around, the SIM might GIVE us more food/water. It's easier to stagger jobs anyway.

No matter how much water I add I run out and die. Frustrating but I did make it to 397 days this time which is the highest yet for me. I don't think you're supposed to run this with one person but maybe I needed to kill off my second person at some point (which would make sense since we're told we'll have to make tough decisions). I have also yet to see a morale booster that I didn't do myself.
