Actually, not true. She only released the number for Megan's phone, and when she was asked on the livestream for Howard's number said "no way." She is indeed acting like she has the right to control who gets what information. As if she did all of the work herself to get there. As if only she is entitled to it. It doesn't matter what happens when the number gets out, the point is that it's not her right to take all of the work that hundreds of people have done over weeks and use it to get information that she keeps to herself.

The only way that people are going to stop fighting is if she released the number or something happens. It doesn't help that she's calling herself Megan now, either.

Yep. Really, what is she supposed to do? Theres only one winner, she cracked the game and got the booty.. Cant pass the cell phone around.. can only relay anything that might come along when it happens..and they certainly dont want hundreds of us calling that number... This is obviously the way it was intended for this part of the game..

I am wondering why if Megan can sit in front of her computer long enuff to play the sim without her mom interfering, get the message about the drop and go fetch it all without mom knowing she couldnt reply to her Dads messages on FAPT and sign in with the birthday gift and chat there in the first place?

What was the point of that whole 13th bday gift thing anyway?

Actually I don't quite understand what MEW is saying in that short clip, but given what's been going on, the "Pass the salt" comment does hint at sharing. The PMs are well aware of all the action going on here and Reddit so they probably got wind of the situation, the best way to participate if we're all in the same level.

She didn't crack the game.. She's not a winner. She's a pair of hands. She didn't even figure out the drop location herself. She was told where to go by the people who had first access to the special message, which only came about because of the weeks of information that we've been working together as communities to receive and crack. Like I said, it's not HER information. She's keeping information from communities of people that they earned.

Beyond that... I actually think that the 13th birthday gift will become relevant someday. You're right in that it's weird to think that Megan would have all this time to play but none to respond to her dear old dad.

Actually, maybe this is leading somewhere. Maybe it's building up to Howard finally realizing that it's not Megan playing the game, calling his phone, or interacting with him.

Personally I'm over it and just want something to happen with the phone so we can move forward.

I managed to peek into Discord and realized that it is actually more like IRC than anything (side note: in the past there have been huge drama blowups here from complaints that game action was taking place on IRC in #unfiction or other chat channels instead of Unforums). I still don't think it's a great way to handle the game (the attitudes of some people there were.... disturbing) and unfortunately, the way things are right now Discord is likely to get the first report of any phone call or text from Howard. I just hope that whatever comes next will be handled more openly.

Given how obvious it is now that the PMs are monitoring all our channels and communicate with us via these gifs I don't know how that Instagram message can be interpreted in any other way than SHARE THE INFO DISCORD.

I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I understand their reasoning (though it was handled SO POORLY) We vocally asked for the PMS to send us all a message to clarify if they were supposed to share it, AND NOW THEY HAVE. End of story, hand it over.

I actually love how southern and passive aggressive the message is too. They might as well have said BLESS DISCORDS HEART.

The thing people need to realize is that there are only 300 minutes on the phone, so wasting minutes with outside player calls doesn't help the situation. Howard's number could be to an automated phone system, or it may be to a second cell phone that the PMs have, and filling that voicemail doesn't seem productive. I think it's fine, for now, to wait until something comes back on the phone before releasing the numbers. But remember, that cell only has 300 minutes and when they are gone, we lose connection to receive info from Howard. Filling up voicemails on either the DD phone or Howard's phone just doesn't seem wise.
If she had gone to the DD, picked up the phone, called Dad back, received a message from Dad, and then posted a video of the process, everyone would be fine. It's the fact that the message back from Dad is taking a while, and everyone had time to get impatient.
