I am sort of subscribing to the theory that Howard will realize (finally) that Megan isn't the one communicating with him. His voicemail will confirm that, and he'll make some sort of update regarding that to the site.

I still say the birthday gift is a dummy password, meaning there is none. It's just a way to make it LOOK like someone could participate without giving us the opportunity. Way back before the term "blog" I had an online diary at Diary-X, and lots of us would use dummy passwords so no one could crack in on a passcoded private entry. Think about it, if we could participate in the chat, what would it accomplish? A lot of noise, from possibly a hundred different "Megans" saying anything and everything, including good efforts and trolling crap. BUT if there was a 2 way chat, with NO way for Megan to participate, we the players would be going apeshit. We as a collective have proven both these things over the last day.

The Reddit user who found the phone and has now shared Howard's number states that she "thinks we're supposed to hack Howard's voicemail." Does anyone know why she thinks this? I can't figure out why that would be a logical next step or what lead her to that conclusion. But I do see that a whole bunch of people are attempting to call Howard's voicemail and enter passwords and they're getting locked out of the account.

So why would Howard leave his full name on the VM if its only for Megan and they do not want anyone to know about it? Megan surely doesnt need to hear that presuming she knows its Dad on the autodialer..If mom got ahold of the fone this would spoil the secret..
