I tried looking for the pattern as well. You had more luck than I did. I wish the Craigslist pic were better. Maybe we can write her and ask for a clearer image -- that's a legit thing a serious buyer would want if they are going to spend $500.

I asked for more detailed photos in both my emails. My second email said that an old friend Howard may be able to identify the age and origin of the set if I had some detail photos.
I've also tried to ID the pattern, but haven't found a match that I'm satisfied with yet. In this set, one set of forks and one set of spoons are a different pattern, but again I haven't found a match that I'm satisfied with. No response yet to either email.

Has anyone written pretending to be a huge silverware aficionado? You could mention that you're collecting one of those patterns, and haven't seen one for sale before so you definitely want a closer look.

So I tried three times and got a reply with the third. Here is what i said:

At first I thought he was crazy, but he left a lot of convincing evidence that something bad is about to happen. I think it would be in your best to follow his advice. Maybe even to reply to the chat as if you were Megan and see what he tells you. Don't tell him about me and don't reveal who you are.

What about this one? He's not dressed up and it's in close enough that you wouldn't have to worry about a full body.

Make sure you mention how well he's doing and his weight loss! LMAO! Might also say that sometimes he seems a bit strange with conspiracy theories about the Soviets and some bunker he has somewhere?

I've also responded to the email. Fingers crossed she and I can continue our conversation.

I'm still interested in the silver set although $500 seems a bit steep. Does it have a certificate and do you happen to know what pattern they are? It seems, by the picture, that there are at least two different styles. I've been trying to compare them to patterns at https://www.replacements.com/silver/NTS.htm but the your picture isn't quite clear enough to discern.

Someone on Reddit got a reply by asking if she's been getting a lot of emails about Howard and she replied so they have now replied back laying EVERYTHING out there.

They have learned that Howard's intends to bring Megan to his home in Louisiana, where he has a fallout shelter waiting for her. These are the individuals who have been messaging you. They intend to discover more of the classified information regarding Howard's discoveries, and I assure you they are harmless and will leave you alone soon enough. You have nothing to fear from them regarding your and Megan's security.

Yet, despite his desperate tactics of manipulation, Howard is correct about one thing: Megan will only be safe in a fallout shelter starting next week; although I can understand if you don't want her to share a bunker with Howard himself.

I truly do wish to help you. My best advice is this:

Howard recently contracted the development of another bunker just outside of Chicago (if you wish, I can give you the specific address) Go there as soon as possible. At the very least, get far away from Chicago, as a highly populated area like it will be the least safe place to be. Beginning in the middle of next week, Howard will go to his bunker in his house without Megan. Although you and him have had a very poor relationship in the past based on what he has told me, let him know his daughter is safe and he will leave you alone.

Above all else, I just want you to know that I want to help you. I am in no way personally associated with your husband or the individuals contacting you, I only see the opportunity to make more people safe from the events I predict will transpire in the coming weeks. I urge you to heed my warnings. E-mail me back for further information.

Dammit - if she responds I'll see if I can work that in. I figured playing the sort of helpless female would maybe trigger something.

There's another response from her to someone on reddit where she talks about how upset she is that people keep talking about Megan.

I'm happy to see that it doesn't really break the fourth wall and start saying "this is all related to a movie..."

It might seem - to others - like it would be cool to jump outside the rules, like with hacking, but the fun of the game is figuring out the game itself, not trying to break it.

When I saw this labelled as "tell everything" I was worried, but it seems like it might be OK. I doubt this was what the PMs were wanting folks to do, though, when they began constructing a plot line. ("I hope they'll tell the mother about the bunker survival game!")
