Well if so, now I feel bad because people actually went to that location I guess.

If they have free time and a desire for shwag more than a desire for being careful and not wasting their time, that's on them.

OK. so, we got a listing in Chicago for silverware on Craigslist. Now what do we do with that?
Strange turn..

We've got some numbers. 500, 6, 60. Fit together? Match any address?
Counting- it looks like there are more than 60 pieces in there- so maybe the numbers do mean something as they don't match.
I don't think everything is meant to match a story- like a murder mystery with us as players. Seems more like we solve puzzles to get more background information about the the story- but the puzzles aren't always part of it- like the trailers with the numbers. Howard had no hand in those.

If the craigslist form lets someone enter a street address, and if that happens to be an apartment number, I don't think the mapping feature could pinpoint anything beyond the lobby. It certainly can't pinpoint a utility pole or a vacant lot, assuming the submission form is not set up with a GPS coordinates field.
I applaud the initiative and creativity (and hunger) in leaping to potential solutions. It's sometimes useful to ask how the puzzle-setter could possibly plant the kind of clues you are looking for. That being said, maybe this really is just a nudge to go back and look for the Chicago bomb shelter location, if it isn't an accident by the person behind-the-scenes who posted the ad in the first place.

We also now know that Howard's father was a GI who fought in WWII and was in England (pretty common, although interesting that this implies he was on the western front instead of the eastern one like you'd think because, y'know. Navy. Japan.)
We don't know for sure the Grandfather was the one married to the Grandmother previously mentioned, but it seems likely. So that's something. I don't what something it is, but it's something.
Maybe it is something to do with their house? Like Maybe it was a GI bill house? That could narrow it down a little.

The previous DDs have been very specific places, not general areas. If a DD was suppose to be in play, it would be very specifically indicated with instructions or coordinates.
I think the message and listing are the first steps to a trail we'll follow online, via research and emails... not vague locations.
My opinion.

My personal theory is that this will lead to an IG e-mail from Megans mom informing us that she is dead. Would be predictable and underwhelming, but gathering e-mails is the only purpose I could see this update serving.

Why would she be dead?

If she was dead already, then have we just been watching Howard's denial spiral?

That's what I am thinking Pixie, perhaps he does have PTSD from his involvement in the Navy as well and that could contribute to his delusion? This is all speculation but I have really felt from the beginning that Megan was dead.

So who was that playing the survival game?
And why would her mom put the composition book with her name in the Silverware pic?

It was us playing the sim game. (I know we never confirmed who it was that had the original Radiogirl leaderboard entry but it could have been one of us)... As far as the composition book, that could have just been our confirmation that the Craigslist Ad was IG. Again I am just speculating obviously.

Us. The Catfishers of an emotionally fragile man with PTSD. Thusly leading to him fully breaking from reality and kidnapping Michelle?
I mean, I hope not. But it's not a bad theory.
Would explain why his memory of Megan is so stuck in the past.
