Separately from this tweet, Assassin's Creed content director Azaïzia Aymar implied that there were secrets to be discovered from the tweeted image. It's currently unclear if the email and phone call are the beginning of an ARG, or as far as the discoverable content goes.

With a movie franchise (or any impending media release, really), what marketers mean by this is that you're expected to glean spoilers about the movie from their ad campaign. Get a sneak peek! Deduce who is in the movie, and what the plot twists will be! (Then pay money to go see all of that in the theater, as nature intended.)

 		Generally, I agree with you, but Assassin's Creed has done a lot of transmedia stuff in the past (the now-changed-entirely acinitiates.com, for example which was apparently mothballed just this month) that allows this to at least have the potential as something more than just a movie viral.

messed around with the picture as best I could on my phone and the numbers(?) are mirrored, split down the 8. so it looks to me like 45824 or something. I'm not sure about the 4s though.

 		So, it seems at the moment more fan made than official, but there's an ARG that kicked up overnight on Reddit that seems like it might be Assasins Creed related.

Might actually need it's own thread, but I figured I'd add it in here in case it starts to dovetail.

(Man. What's going on this year? Last year was so dead for ARGS, and then all of a sudden the second it's 2016 all this stuff comes out of leftfield.)

EDIT: Yep, confirmed fan made. Not surprising at all actually, given some of the content, although the puzzles and game design was actually pretty promising.

 		Alan Rikkin's business card was posted to the AC facebook page. On it was his email (arikkinSPLATabstergo.com).
When I emailed, I got this reply

to which I called the phone number and got his VM. An interesting tidbit though...after the greeting, a voice came on, saying the Assassin's Creed.

Might be nothing more than a viral or transmedia, but it looks like potential fun..
