For CQ Mission:
We currently have this Master Command:
9####95#61
If anyone hasn't shared their CAC yet, please do.
You only need to share the number in the top left and your codename.

I've been lurking here since july 17th since I have not been any help with these puzzle, I did vote but I don't know how I am supposed to find out what my CAC is. I have not gotten any emails.

Are you on team Cobalt Quarter? If so that's odd. Althogh luckily that team's mission was completed? today. Currently has a communication error though, so there may be more to it.

I'm not on team Cobalt Quarter, I was confused because the voting results email said "Command Authority Codes (CAC) will be provided to all cadets that submitted a vote." I am on team Atomic Giant and my code is Tangerine Battle. (yes I know that is hilarious)

Hey, you're on my team, and that codename is awesome lol. CACs were only sent to those on Cobalt Quarter it appears. We are stuck with the brute of a cipher from the videos.

That's a huge help.
Atomic Giant ideas:
What I'm stuck on is what a 'command code' is even supposed to look like. The first time we at least knew about the terraherz range so we could weigh different options based on number of digits and range of the number. This could almost be anything right? Even words in an alien language? I doubt it'll be English for sure.
Edit : Although in hindsight, these engines were built to be used by humans. So English command codes aren't impossible.
Random thoughts that will most assuredly be wrong:
1) If we only look at the depth we have 4 flavors of them. 2, 4, 5, 6. Or to put that in visual terms we have
X 2 X
4 5 6
That kinda looks like the arrow keys on a keyboard to me honestly. Could these be physical directions like up, left, down, right? Does the engine have a joystick? Does Mark get 99 lives if he enters the right code?
2) I suppose this could be base 4. D2 = 0, D4 = 1, D5 = 2, D6 = 3
Maybe the aliens only have 2 fingers on each hand and their entire math system is different and those are just their numbers.
Your first idea also got into my mind. Maybe we ask ANA for some "clues", or if there are some joystick on the engine(s)
So for that idea it would be:
Quote:
L D
L U D D R L
D
L L L D L U L U L D L R
L R D L D L U D U D R
U L L D
D U L D R L R U L D L R L U R U R D L D U L D D L R L R
D L
D R L D
L
D U D U L
(L=left; R=right; U=up; D=down)
(in the picture of coldkick2 in the last row the 5th number ["5"] should be red, cause it is "depth 5")

D L
D R L D

I was thinking along similar lines, but it seems so long for a code, and doesn't really make use of the black frames... I think an email asking about input methods and stuff like that would be a good idea. Let us know what you hear back if you decide to ask

My guess using the counts of values we wrote as 4 in each set.
My logic is that it's the only depth value that is irregular in its position, in that it could be 4 or 7.

'Hammer Torment' from CQ here. The number in the top left of my image was '6'.
(Sorry I'm skating in late here - we've had some family medical drama.)

Hey there, hope everything is OK with your family! There was a bit of a *cough cough* security issue and we have completed Part 1 of CQ mission. Looks like more to come on Friday the 5th.

Thanks. Honestly, things are less 'okay' and more 'we'll get through it eventually', but I think that's pretty much par for the course with this kind of situation (hospice care).
You guys are awesome I'll be on the lookout on the fifth, assuming nothing's gone terribly downhill here. (I'm glad this whole thing came along with it did. It's nice to take a break for these puzzles when I can.)

I'm apparently having a slow witted day. I'm no sure I understand how you got that and I'd like to. Could you please explain? I'm sure it's a better idea then mine tbougb.

Intuition based on previous missions. Look for anomalies and base solutions on their premise. The anomaly in this case was that the one square in the depth composites wasn't in a traditional position. Interestingly enough this case allowed the very long string tat didn't have a blank frame to contain a single value (9) when counting only those anomalies. It just feels right to me.
On August 5th we will be able to enter codes ourselves.

Great! ALso had this idea, or to count the depths from each "series". We will see.

Also interestingly from KA the 4 and 7 were the anomalies. It think this is it team! ^_^
