 		[Trailhead] Chloe's Videos
Where is Madison?
First time posting, but I've run into a web series that almost certainly has an ARG component. They seem to be pretending it's real, but considering it's on a film company's YouTube that doesn't seem likely.

It's been going on for a couple of weeks and it doesn't seem to have many players despite thousands of views on each video.

 		New ARG from Seraph Films, LLC
Where is Madison?
I was not involved from the start of this but it looks to be a great ARG that has been created around an upcoming movie from Seraph Films. Lots of interaction with the players and videos created based on input that we have been providing.

Up until now almost all communication has been through YouTube comments but I'm putting this here to get more involvement and keep things a little more organized.

You can follow along in the comments as to what people are trying to do to assist. I will try and update later but this has been so much fun the last few days that I wanted to make sure others were aware.

I will update with some of the puzzles and how they were solved later when I get off work but everything is in the YouTube comments right now.

 		I second this post fron GuestUser 17, I've been following this one for a while and its very good. Interesting story and plenty of interaction on Youtube.

Would welcome anyone to come and join in as we need help with all sorts of information, if you like story based ARG's this is the one for you!!

I'll break down the puzzles and anything that might be relevant:

Video of a view over a city from a rooftop - not sure of any meaning or which city.

Binary numbers appear at the bottom of the video:
00000111 00001001 00000000 00000101

This is mentioned by Chloe in the video as converting to 7905 which is her old house number.

There is a vintage black & white video clip of a lady dancing - meaning unknown

Lots of graffiti including one piece which stands out as *XIXX
This is not a valid Roman Numeral as it stand but later in the video you see it in a mirror which shows it as XXIX* which would be 29*.

The phrase TPNFPOF YCVEJKPI FVB appears.

This uses three different ROT ciphers for each word and ends up saying SOMEONE WATCHING YOU


More graffiti with two phrases that caught my eye:
WHEN I'M 1 YEAR OLD
WHEN I GOT MY FIRST PAIR
Not sure what those might mean but making a note in case it's relevant later.

Here we see Chloe's sister Madison for the first time. She is wearing a blindfold.

More graffiti in the back of Madison. One section reads Linda Vista Hospital. This was an old hospital that was often used in movies but is now an apartment complex. No significance has been determined yet.

The phrase plate glass through 30 is mentioned. The word glass is in a different tone than the other words. Combined with the 29* that is visible in the mirror during that phrase being spoken this is being hinted at by the PM as being important. I found an obscure reference to a fax machine patent but that has been basically shot down. It's also possible that the 30 refers to XXX instead, given the Roman numerals, but that could lead to a whole different kind of possibilities.

You're welcome. I like the way they are using the players in the videos to show that it has not been all pre-created. It also brings in the audience to a greater extent and makes it feel as if you are contributing to the end result, even if that path might be leading you to their desired outcome. Wink

skimming the thread, I don't see the name of the film mentioned. Would someone like to reply with the title in a spoiler bar? thanks (although looking at a list of other titles by Seraph Films, I won't be interested, if the new one is also horror).

 		I'm not sure on the name, or even if it is actually promoting a movie in fact, but it would be a safe bet that it's a horror movie given the scenes in the latest video and their past work.

 		Stuck on this puzzle
This code flashes up on the second weird video, stabilimenta. The general consensus is that it might be the password to unlock the Word document Chloe found on the USB stick in the park but I can't figure out how it might be encoded.

I did find the font that was used so can confirm the characters are

 		Wow, that is a doozy! I've been running through a ton of ciphers, but no luck so far. I'm struck by the close parentheses, which I'm taking to be spaces. If it were a simple substitution, I think 9 would be 'E' and o (0?) would be 'T,' but I find it very unlikely given the complexity. I'll keep trucking and report back if I get anything.

 		That's a similar path I took with ) as space. There are a number of phrases that could be generated but none stand out. Closest I get is SHE SENT MRS or THE TEAM POT, or similar things along those lines.

I get similar things. I've gotten some interesting solutions from using a Patristocrat solver, but nothing has quite stuck out as an obvious answer.

EDIT: I've ciphered my brains out; it can't be a cipher. Something Chloe said to you in the comments of a different video stuck out to me, though. She said, "Backwards or forwards I don't think any word has O's like that." That really sticks out as an odd thing for someone to just say. Maybe we have to try to mirror the text in some way? It would make the parentheses face each other.

 		Sorry for the bump, but this seems like it requires attention. I held my phone against my computer screen, just underneath the stenciled text. The O's became 8's, the 9's became 3's, the T became an I and so forth. I feel like I'm THAT close to cracking this, and now I just need a second opinion to help push my train of thought further.
