At the end of the video you can click to continue to HERE. You are then presented with many boxes to fill in and verify data.

 		Yea I got led to the same place and had the same reaction. I can only think that this will be updated, so check again tomorrow I guess?

Watching the trailer, I could see lots of interesting directions this could go. Or it could all just be marketing blah.

 		As an aside - I like all the eleven's that keep cropping up:

video is 11:11 minutes long, the posters being posted 11 minutes apart. The opening day of the movie, I wonder if there are other 11s that will crop up.

 		Dropbox is saying that it was modified 11 hours ago (11 again, coincidence? maybe this will be updated daily?). What date was on the journal when you opened it.

Mine currently shows "Monday, August 15"
Was yours a different date? Do we need to keep track of the contents?

 		the log was updated about 5 hours ago with a August 17 journal entry

it mentions Colonel Weber who is played by Forest Whitaker in the movie and Danvers - not sure who that is? Also Broca and Wernike and Brodmann is mentioned - which may be regions of the brain (although the one name is misspelled I think)

 		Mn I saw the trailer for this film yeterday. Glad they are doing an ARG for it. Good way of universe building.

It seems a bit like this could be Amy Adam's character, who is a linguist, writing the journals. If she's already experienced gravity shifts, it's probably taking place after the events in the first half of the trailer.

This seems like its trying to say or point towards something. Quick Google of Broca, Wernike and Brodmann came up with areas of the brain that are named the same. Except Wernike looks like it should be spelt Wernicke (With a "C"). All the areas seem to be related to speech processing. Food for thought?

This seems to be written from the point of view of someone who has been pushed out of the research.

...Maybe more missspelled words will occur...
The Broca-Areal (Speach production) and Wernicke-Areal (Speach understanding) are named after scientists. Brodman was the guy who mapped the brain areals in general.

Awesome this is still being updated - is anyone chatting or discussing this anywhere (if there is a group developing - please share). And so far there have been no social media or other websites except the initial WhyAreTheyHere website and the dropbox, right?

 		Here are my guesses about who's who:

Putting this in spoiler because I'm guessing at some movie plot points, even though this is purely speculative!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We know from wikipedia that "Weber" is Colonel Weber, played by Forest Whitaker in the movie.

The trailer also tells us that the basic story of the movie is that Amy Adams plays a linguist recruited to talk to these aliens.

So, I'm guessing that several types of scientists were recruited, and went through some kind of initial training/alien contact program (Operation Centaur), including the person who is now writing this journal. If this person ("AW"?) wasn't a linguist, they were at least involved in this same program.

BUT something happened (an accident? whatever caused the trauma in the first entry), and this person was booted from the program and is now writing these journals from the 'safety' of some secure facility (because secrecy). But Operation Centaur continues...

Based on this speculation:
Weber = Forest Whitaker = dude in charge of Operation Centaur
Danvers = person that was recruited to fulfill same role that "AW" (journal writer) had.
Arjun = another Operation Centaur person who is still checking up on AW, who has 'front seat'

Maybe too early for speculation, but there you go.
