[TRAILHEAD] Stan Frederick
StanFrederickBTS Reboot A.K.A The Record of Stan Frederick

Let me just say this, one of the great expectations of a reboot or a sequel (in this case both) is that it brings new elements in-game.
I'm sure that everyone has been waiting for this for a long time.
I know I have.
So when I heard Evan was making a reboot to his original series I was very excited.
In case your lost on the whole updated story of Stan. I will give a brief explanation if you don't follow his twitter.

1. All of his tweets from early 2013 to late 2014 are gone.
2. Stan lost his left index finger while doing his job, and changed his profile pictures.
3. Unlisted all his previous videos and hopes to help people who have been through similar experiences like himself. (also vents on twitter)

He recently posted on twitter:

Breakthroughs in therapy. Feeling good, better than usual. Work is getting easier, but being away from Susan is getting harder.

March 16th:

She's been back in Connecticut with David & Julia for a few months now. I've been trying to distract myself, but work makes that hard.

March 18th:

I'm actually considering something really big. Something that might be really helpful therapeutically.

Surprise.

This feels like a great start, and hopefully it will get better as it continues.

I just had BTS in my RSS feed ready for a rewatch sometime. (It is still on the OOG Channel here - each season as 1 video each.) Glad it is back - with Tribe Twelve also back I guess I am going to post on unfiction again.

That's beautiful. Laughing

I'm not entirely certain how the mechanics of "Stan arrives, gets mindraped, and Slendy goes away" works, but I'm interested in seeing how this plays out.

I'm pretty sure it's because Slendy remembers Stan, and knows that Stan was able to survive him.

Not to mention Stan's bravery against the Slender Man,

Basically, it seems like Slendy is actually afraid of Stan.

The only thing that I'm not sure about is Slenderman lunging his head forward like a snake. It made it too robotic I think, but hey, all in all it's still pretty good. It is pretty daring to put Slenderman fully in the second video of the rebooted series.

Wow, Stan takes it like a champ!
In all seriousness, If you said he's not afraid anymore. You'd be wrong.
You can sort of get the feeling that he is still scared of it, but knows how to deal with it now and isn't hesitant to confront it.
Also I forgot to mention, if you don't get the context of his tweets, its explained more in his introduction video.

I'M LATE.

I'M ALMOST A WHOLE WEEK LATE.

Okay, so first video: I like it, it's a good setup. Pretty sure if I didn't see StanFrederickBTS I could probably get everything I needed just from that one video. He left stuff out, but I'm gonna assume it's either not important or he'll tell us about that other stuff later. Probably the second one.

Second video: Gotta agree about Slenderman looking a little off, but I really do like the shot itself anyway - like, wow, the framing is SICK. Snake-lunge is a little weird. Not a bad video by any means, though. Actually it's pretty freakin cool as a concept.

AND NOW THE REASON I RAN ONTO THE FORUM

So we get a little more backstory on why Stan is so adamant on helping people who've been in similar situations. (also how he lost his finger, among other things)
I'm curious to see what happens next. If he's going to contact someone else we haven't meet before or another slenderseries creator. (probably the latter, since he said OOG there would be no crossover untill season two)

Well....

(OOG)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Evan himself has said that Stan isn't afraid of the monsters, but is rather afraid of the people that he encounters on his travels.

That's kind of the whole theme of the series, that people are the real monsters.
