Venue for Saturday talks

I know some people were concerned about the location for the talks for ARGFest.

Well, worry no longer

We have signed the contract for a conference room at the Hotel Penn that will hold up to 50 people in a theater style arrangement.

We will have this room for most of Saturday.

Stayed tuned for specific announcements about times for PM presentations.

/me seconds Lou's praise to the Planning Peoples

Question: is the online listing of room availability accurate, or do we have a reserved block of rooms? I hope it's the latter, since I was hoping for a roomie to help defray costs... and a double bed just isn't big enough for two relative strangers to sleep on Smile

more fest news

We have a reserved block of rooms!! Do NOT BOOK ONLINE!! CALL AND TELL THEM YOU ARE WITH THE UNFICTION GROUP!!!

(sorry for shouting just want to make sure everyone gets this message)

You won't have to share a double bed with anyone. The double rooms have 2 beds and the triple rooms they bring in a cot or roll-away bed.

In other news:
Sunday
Joebrent has graciously and enthusiastically agreed to lead his walking tour on Sunday.

The simplest plan would be to have this after brunch, although I know some people are leaving to go to the Mets- Dodgers game.

But the time will be announced.

Friday night
Will Star, famous DJ in NYC and a real life participant in the Art of the Heist game, is able to DJ our party. He is working with us to find a venue that will allow us to have catering, so we will have inexpensive food there.

Location to be announced.

Will is very cool and you don't want to miss our party if you can help it.

So the exact time and place for things will be announced...VERY SOON I PROMISE!
The schedule is falling into place very nicely.

PS. What is a "golf clap"? Are you throwing things at me or what? Razz

Well great news looking like I'll be able to make it, I can't wait to finally meet everyone and it looks like it is going to a blast.

P.S. A golf clap is when you clap very lightly.

But with appreciation and enthusiasm! No, I'm not throwing things at you. Coins and candies, perhaps.

But if you use the back of one hand to strike the palm of the other hand, now you have a Bajoran clap.

/me quickly ducks and runs back to her Trekkie universe.
