Summary

Marcus isn't keen on Ideltech employees taking on false persona in order infiltrate other groups. And neither is Nash by the looks of things (see end of post)
Marcus has a new girlfriend (one night stand?) with an ex who is not Melody. Could he be using the term "old girlfriend" as a euphemism Wink ?
Marcus got the email from Melody about the freedom of assembly
Marcus suspects Rose might be a triple agent but he can't confirm it. That is why he is unwilling to divulge any information to her. He also thinks she playing a dangerous game but does want to do anything to hurt her. He claims to have warned her to be careful.
Marcus appears to be unwilling to leak false information or use threatening behaviour in order to force the hand of the opposition.

I would be most grateful if you could clarify a point of company policy I was discussing with the son of an ex-colleague of mine, a young man by the name of Mr Simon Raynard. I was arguing that my role would be that of a passive and reactive information gathers and processors who will work on the data that is provided by yourself or other sources. Simon however thought that Ideltech employees should act as active and proactive information gathers and processors who will seek to infiltrate rival organisations perhaps using the cover of a false identity.We argued the point back and for well into the early hours generating much heat but not a lot of light. In the end I suggested that I raise the issue with yourself.
Therefore I would much appreciate your opinion on this matter as my most wise and esteemed employer

09:10AM MThesburg: She all but admitted she is a Restorer. But she als did help me find Saucey. So she did good. But, knowing she is a restorer and wants to see Ideltech come down dosen't give me much reason to trust her. I believe she does align herself to all of them.

09:13AM sfox: Hmmm. I see your concern. Perhaps you could leak information that you know to be untrue to her and see where the trail leads. That way you may be able to force the opposition to reveal their hand early. Perhaps a rumour about an injunction on the restorers?
09:14AM MThesburg: I would like that. But don't want her hurt. It could expose her to unfriendly people too. One that could kill her. I won't do that to anyone.

 		I talked with Marcus too. It seems that Sandy is back in the picture at least she was for a night.

He is sad about losing Thad. He doesn't think Thad had anything to do with the bomb.

Well Marcus, at least sfox is able to report this to my face. For the record, I have not given Marcus any information except about Saucey as requested by Thad.

I am beginning to think there is no role at all for me here.
Marcus knows I am no triple agent, so why he wants to make me look bad is another question.

This has lost its charm for me.

 		I wouldn't worry too much Rose. As far as I'm aware you are the only person (other than the charming Ms Heller) who has been able to make any contact with Thad. We need you to be our eyes and ears within The Restorers and perhaps act as their conscience if this start to turn sour.

I'm sure Marcus only has your best wishes in mind and is trying to protect you by maintaining his distance. I can understand why he feels he needs to be cautious since you have been vocal in your support for The Restorers on the IU board which I know Marcus looks and posts at.

I totally support that statement Shelina, but if, with all the meta postings, people still can't grasp the concept, maybe we should just give up.

I've decided I'm going to take on a lurker status to this game at least until it gets interesting again (if it ever does). I also think my posting to here, meta or informational, is also going to take a long hiatus. It's an easier route than trying to fix damage caused by yet another misunderstanding of meta topics. I'd say I was outright quitting, but I feel like I did while sitting through Episode 2: "This just has to get better at some point!" Maybe I'll get luckier the second time around.

This is not true. I gave him saucey as Thad believed he was a spy, that's all. Thad has no interest in Alecia's agents succeeding.

I understand the IU/uf conflict, but if Marcus is going to say lies about me behind my back and then expect me to never find out about it he is wrong. If he blames slyfox I can honestly say that I have heard about it from other people. I assume I don't have to pretend that things people have told me directly didn't happen.Does he think that no one will tell me anything?

I am not interested in the IU boards at all.

I understand that Thad will be recruiting so the oppurtunity will be there for others to be the eyes and ears of that organization.

I don't know how else to explain that it's not fun for me to have characters speculating about what I am doing and misrepresenting what I have done. I am not a character, and my strong reactions seem to have no effect in getting through to the characters that they should leave me out of discussions with players.

Why Marcus wanted to slap me about this I have no idea, unless he wants to force everyone to act in a way that he can control. I have already asked Marcus to apologize to me about this, we will see if he bothers...

And FYI I am no longer on intellIM, I'm not sure that removing the program takes me off the list, that was something I couldn't ascertain.

Don't worry slyfox, I appreciate your posting this and I think you should keep playing as we have always played, with sharing information. I have other sources Smile

 		Don't worry about it Rose. Perhaps the stuff posted at the other place will give mheller the perfect opportunity to throw a few accusations back at me! I do appear to have leaked confidential and personal information about my employer to a known member of The Restorers after all. The Hypocrisy of it!!! Oh and what a pathetic cover story. Someone hacking into my computer; don't make me laugh.

So if someone is reading this on your behalf Ms Heller, bring it on, that's what I say. I don't mind being slapped about a bit Very Happy
