Intellim Chat with Melody 5-28-04

Summary: After being hit by Thad, Melody says that she's shocked but ok.
She is not going to press charges. Thad has told her that he loves her prior to this. She promised to seek advice from her Uncle and Saida Sagefrost (co-worker at the Round Up cafe). She considers herself a bad judge of character. She goes to church every Sunday.

djr: have you told anyone else about what happened? Marcus or a relative, perhaps?
mheller : Thad is just a very passionate man that's all.
djr : Melody, may i call you by your first name?......
mheller : Certainly
djr : do you have someone to talk to about this...i understand he may be passionate, but please don't confuse that with violence.
mheller : Well, my Uncle Dick
mheller : And Saida
mheller : I guess
djr : Saida? is that your sister?
mheller : Saida Sagefrost, Native AMerican I work with at the Round Up
djr : have you talked to them about what happened?
mheller : Not yet...
mheller : I'm just so embarrassed by it all. I mean, I am such a poor judge of character
djr : please, promise me, that you'll seek some advice from people you trust
mheller : Yes Djr, I will.
djr : Thank you Melody. It's easy for me to say don't be embarrassed, you know....sometimes love impairs our judgement
djr : and others may see things that we can't
mheller : I know... but this is the second time I seem to have chosen badly.
djr : first time was....?
mheller : Marcus.
djr : oh. he never hit you did he?
mheller : no, just treated me like I was some easy girl, at least that is the impression I got from what he told everyone about me going over to his house to watch American Beauty.
djr : Just so i understand, and please, if i'm getting too personal just say so.....
djr : have you and Marcus had a relationship other than that time you went to his house to watch a movie?
mheller : We dated in High School.
djr : well that's all in the past then?
mheller : Yes.
djr : I only hope you consider carefully your relationship with Thad
mheller : YEs.
mheller : I will.
djr : and only twice a poor judge of character?? that's not bad actually
mheller : Well, there aren't that many dateable men in Amboy to choose from
mheller: But it is home.
djr : well, i hope you continue your search, don't settle for someone that hits you Melody
mheller : I'll try, but at this point the convent is beginning to look real good.
djr : hehe
mheller: at least it woulod be one man who would take care of me.
djr : yes, it would
djr : Smile

djr : are you a religous person, Melody?
djr : *religious
mheller: I go to CHurch on Sunday, just like I have all my life
mheller : does that make me religious?
djr : Faith is what's important in my opinion
mheller : Sometimes I have faith, and other times it is hard to hold on to it, when there is a lot of really bad news going on.
djr : yes, i know how you feel
djr : but faith can bring us through many things
djr : sometimes it's the only thing to hold on to
mheller: yes. sometimes it is
djr : well, i have to go Melody. PM me anytime, if i'm not online, i'll get back to you
mheller : OK Djr thank you. Rose is on now I can talk to her
djr : ok,
djr : oh, you can call me driz, all my on line friends do
