Mini-puzzle series (sort of) by me

I have absolutely no idea why I'm doing this, but here it is - a mini-puzzle series timewaster. They're really easy, and should be a breeze Very Happy (a refreshing cool one, if you're in it purely for wasting time).

Have fun, enjoy!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I know where to start over there, but am struggling to figure out what sunflower oil and traffic lights have to do with one another.

still don't get it...

I got to the same point as Caterpillar...
But i did what shouldn't be done... I decompiled.
Mea Culpa.

You'll be happy to learn it doesn't help at all, but it does bring up some questions.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There seems to be no actionscripting at all in the swf file. the only hidden info is: "WATCH THIS SPACE", written black on black in the empty area between the center and right blocks. Makes me wonder if maybe there is a problem with it, it's not like there is ANY way of making "WATCH THIS SPACE" appear...

Appart from that, my other idea failed:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I tried to get inspired by the sentence hidden in html (black on black)...
me thinks death is an appropriate destination where we only enter once... but Hell, Heaven, Death etc. doesn't cut it

Heh, deck away - there aren't going to be any logins or anything... *says yanka who loves to deck flashes - it's like looking for hidden treasures*

the only way to make it appear is to deck the thing Mr. Green *says yanka who lo... oh, I already said that Very Happy *

I updated the page with 2 hints (the 2nd one is not warranted yet, but I decided to include it in anticipation of that being a hold-up).

AHHH!!!!

Nice... that second hint didn't help all that much, but the first one was clear as day:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
First, the new hints, in binary (black on black again) says:
"Rabid Matrix fans everywhere know that
- if there is an answer, there is a question
- the web is a very big place"

trying question.html lead to a page saying it didn't exists, but question.swf did.... all that appears there is:
"YOU KNOW THE QUESTION"

Which brought "What is the matrix?" to mind... going to www.whatisthematrix.com brought the answer crashing back to memory... just enter the site and look at the toolbar...

philosophy.html is the answer

So where are all the math people when you need 'em?....lol

We do need them don't we? (.........well I do at least, don't have a clue what we're looking to do here, although I do recognize the dude in the portrait.)

Maybe that's a start?

this is what i think the maths symbols are:
theta
imaginary number, normally denoted with i or j
limit <no variable> to infinity
1/k^-1 is equal to k
sigma

on the next line is the symbol for 'therefore'

...and don't forget Descartes at the top and bottom. He is, of course, the one who came up with the "evil genius" theory: what if a powerful evil genius feeding your mind signals (sights, sounds, tastes, sensations), fooling you into knowing the true nature of reality? He also came up with "I think therefore I am."

This makes me wonder if "Descartes" is I, the mathematics is "think," the therefore symbol is itself, but "am.html" does not bring up anything.

Edit:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
but "Descartes thinks, therefore he...."

I don't quite have everything for this next piece, but here is what I have:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

1. Raffaello Sanzio
2. ?
3. Ernest Hemingway
4. Peter the Great
5. Random

Then, assuming the resulting word is 8 letters, and the arrows say "take letter number 'x' from this answer and put it in space 'y' in the final word" we get "?nn?heop" (using the last names).

I updated the page after Brian already solved it, but I'll leave it like that because these were intended to be super-easy.

Also, I apologize for choosing an artist whose name can be spelled in 10 different ways in English.

For that second one:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As far as I can tell, "the sun also rises" appears to be a biblical quote from Ecclesiastes 1.5. The speaker is, according to various translations, the Teacher/Gatherer/Preacher, Hebrew "Qohelet" or "Kohelet," and the son of David (Solomon). All I get from that is a whole bunch of quite amusing anagrams. "Phone Neo" was my favorite. Although I'm aware that anagramming pretty much defeats the purpose of the numbers, it's just so much fun!

Anyway, I'm not officially playing, but I can't seem to resist trying these.
