EMAIL from Jude (6/2)

Subject: Information concerning Ideltech Information

Dear Ideltech Employees,

First of all, let me tell you how excited we are for the opening of
our new building in Aloha, OR. Construction is on time and we are
anticipating moving in a few short weeks, at which point our work
can really begin.

I would also like to address the problems we've been experiencing
with our e-mail servers as well and the problems with Intellim.
We have traced the e-mail problem back to the point that our servers
were hacked by Omniscient Eyes' Alecia Church. We are slowly tracking
the problems and expect them to be resolved shortly.

As for Intellim, we might be forced to go with another instant messaging
service. We had originally gone with Intellim because we needed a common
forum for all of our employees where we could easily control who we
IM'ed so as not to introduce security issues. However, the service
has not met our expectations and we may be forced to use a larger service
such as Yahoo or MSN. Another service that has caught our interest
is Trillian. It incorporates MSN, YIM, AIM and ICQ into one IM service.
Check it out at http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/downloads/

Let me also address some internal business matters that may be
concerning some of the employees.

We are experiencing problems with TOBI at this time. However,
repairs are underway and ahead of schedule. We expect him to be up
and running prior to our opening later this month.

Also, I must broach the subject of internal rumors.

There have been a few incidents at Ideltech that have given rise
to rumor and speculation as to why a few decisions have been made by the
top here in the company. Let me just say that we had some problems
with a few employees and the problems have been dealt with in a
manner that the situation called for.

Also recently my personal life has been brought into question.
Please, do not allow yourself to be drawn to issues outside of business.
Honestly and truthfully, if it does concern you, I will certainly let you
know.

With those issues addressed, let me reiterate on the behalf of
Marcus, Marty and myself the excitement we feel toward anticipation of
our "Grand Opening." With renewed focus and effort our humble beginings
will reap rich reward.

Sincerely,

Jude Williams

Well, I was getting tired of IntellIM anyway, even with it's built-in TimeWasters Smile

And, nice way to downplay his little affair there. That's not gonna stop Melody from wanting to kill him when she finds out. Very Happy

A. Trillian sucks. Smile It's more draining on the system than Intellim is. At least for ME I've had that problem. Of all the options I think I'd prefer AIM, if for no other reason than the program uses very little resources to run. But then again, people who can run Trillian can of course still use it, since it supports AIM.

B. Note that this is the kind of letter Marcus would've sent? Jude is sooo trying to act like everything is fine, when we know Marcus is off getting drunk somewhere. Frankly I find the letter an insult to our intelligence.

BTW, was that sent out to a bunch of people, since it doesn't address Ras by name?

Well, no one will have to use Trillian if they don't want to. Whatever messenger services the characters choose to use can be installed individually on your system. Trillian isn't a messenger service really itself, all it really does is allow you to run all of those other messenger services in one window. So looks like we'll just have to wait and see which one they pick and if you want Trillian you can use it. If you don't you can just get the individual service.

I'm just glad they've given us a couple of options. Now all of us will be able to chat Smile

Well, I suppossed it was sent to all employees, actually.
Anyway, I've posted the mail in the IU forum too, as some of you stated problems with your Ideltech accounts

It was sent to all employees, of course, but I thought I'd put it here for posterity, and for all the non-employees playing as well. Smile

Funny that my reply notices from here (which go to my Ideltech addy), come through fine, but anything else I don't appear to be getting from that box. I'd say they've got some definite kinks in the system.
