Well, Oyster Day came and went without a heck of a lot of noise in the KOL forums, other than the little problem about Jick forgetting to add the baskets in the Demon Market at rollover. He did remember not to put eggs in areas accessible only to the lowest level players, although with ascension in full swing there probably would have been a lot more players that could have gone to the Cyrpt for eggs than last time.

Ah well. Back to the clockwork mines...

As a result of getting some serious grief off a friend, I have returned to KoL. Unfortunately a day too late for the Oyster Eggs :/ But where should I be adventuring to get some good items these day? Any good new areas to check out? And, the big question, should I ascend now?!

Might as well ascend. There's so much new content out there now!

Or do what I did. Keep this character, make an alt and start from scratch. You know so much more now about game mechanics it will take no time (a week or so?) to get that character up high enough, and you can play straight through. Now admittedly I helped mine along in that first phase, as I planned it as my new main character and a replacement for my ridiciulously high level AT that I left behind to handle clan business, but now I have to play along with just the new character because of the ronin restrictions.

My old main now farms and markets. Some days I don't play it at all. One drawback. The one thing I couldn't shift over - my Mr. Store familiars. Mr. Accessory and family will transfer as will unborn familiars, but once they're in your terrarium you can't take them out and send them anywhere. So my Jill-o-Lantern, which is reputed to be useful in ascensions because she gives stats and attacks (I think that's it), sadly doesn't get to ascend.

how do i change my rank...i'm the only one who is Normal Member...not that this is a bad thing...whats wrong with Normal?.....its just that everyone else seems to be "angry mobster" everyone else also appears to be in alphabetical order...i appear at the end...
