Anyone still have invites left? (before I start PM'ing everyone)

Can you please sign up Lance_Lake?

Check your private messages on UF, Lance. And I'm not sure how they determine who to give the invites to or how often, they just show up in your Gmail inbox after a little while. I think it may be somewhat based on how much you use the service, but it could just be random for all I know.

Well, I'm all out now but I'll let you know when/if I get more, if you haven't gotten one by then.

Somethings for the GMailers among us Someone's written an app that runs in the taskbar (yes sorry you *nix geeks!) that checks your GMail and tells you when you have new messages, rather than keeping a browser window open.
You can find more info and download it here

I'm always a little skeptical when I see 'homemade' apps like this... it might have a nice backdoor to send all GMail passwords to the author... but maybe that's just my paranoia kicking in
It looks pretty good though, very nifty...

Now if only we could import contacts without having to email everybody we know.

Good point Giskard!
Personally I won't be using it either way as I can't stand having crap cluttering up the taskbar, but I guess some people might find it useful. Well, that and the fact I have a pitiful amount of RAM!
I don't think it works for other browsers like FireFox either :/
