 		My idea is that this has something to do with the plot of halo....... it might be that MC dies or something and you become a female characture that has been lost on a ring world................ or something like that

note- i have bad spelling

I am 99.9% sure its not MC. BTW... am I the only one that gets the feeling that the entity talking to us is a female? (even if it is a computer program)

So its a program that thinks its a woman (or maybe we're assuming its a program in the first place). Thanks for pointing that out, my mind is somewhere else.

If this is indeed a Bungie run event, one of the background items in Halo is that "smart" AIs are duplicates of human neural networks... and the process destroys the previous network. (ie; if used on a living person, it's fatal.) This may tie into the "head full of sand" and the surgery imagery.

Some AIs in their universe have some difficulty separating their "virtual" and real identities... in one of the novels, a "dumb" AI named after the Duke of Wellington had a bad habit of identifying the historical Duke's experiences as his own. In gameplay in Halo, the Cortana character (a "smart" AI that is the player's advisor) says "If I still had fingers, they'd be crossed".

From this, it is entirely possible that this is an AI (smart or dumb) modeled from a female progenitor that still feels human, at least in part.

-- Steve thinks we'll find out how relevant this is when the "network throttle" "erodes".

 		Well, Cortana was created from a clone of Dr. Halsey's brain, and she (Dr. Halsey) survived the whole thing. She even comes back in First Strike to help MC a bit. So making a 'smart' AI from a human neural network is not always fatal.

It was fatal... to the cloned brain. Very Happy (To be pedantic, brains would be more appropriate. There was a series of failed tries before Cortana was created.)

Dr. Halsey's case was a unique one, as she is also the lead developer of AIs and was the prime motivator for the SPARTAN cyborg project. I wasn't going to go into special cases for folks who aren't as obsessed interested in Halo background as you and I.

 		Ok, its counting down til tomorow, thats 1 day, tomorow is the day of the MS conference.

Also, Dr Halsely was put into an AI then why not Keyes.

 		I hope that this is not redundant information, but I don't know how I would search for this.

I was going around the site, and was in the Fun Stuff section. I kept checking out all the different recipes and stuff, and then I came to one page where instead of listing recipes on the left, there was a cryptic message.

I copied and pasted it, but lost the info because of this stupid laptop touchpad. This is why I can't search for it, because I forgot what it said. I also went through this thread and didnt' see it mentioned here.
