 		ANNOUNCE: email announcing a mini puzzle/contest on 11/30

This Tuesday, November 26th, the chasingthewish.com site will be updated with new information about registration options and requirements as well as information for those who want to get involved behind the scenes with Chasing The Wish. There will also be new details posted Tuesday about a mini puzzle/contest coming this Saturday, November 30th.


Here's a little "sneak peek" at what will be posted Tuesday:


1) Registration is on track to begin in the next week or two. Because Chasing The Wish will incorporate real world items and activities, players will be asked to submit contact information - e-mail, street address, phone numbers etc. This information will be used for game design and implementation purposes only and will absolutely not be sold, given, or shared with anyone. See the Privacy Policy posted at the chasingthewish.com site for specific details. There will be a couple of different options for registering, however. If you don't feel comfortable submitting personal information, you will be able to sign up to play by submitting only e-mail contact information, but it will not be the same experience as people who choose the full registration. Also, for those who do submit the complete registration information, you can still choose either a "full contact" or "limited contact" option. "Full contact" means we will call you, send letters, packages, etc and possibly plant items or artifacts close to your location. "Limited contact" means that your interaction will be restricted to the internet; we will not call or send things to your house. It's different than the e-mail only registration in that it still provides us geographic data that will allow for real world objects and events to be possibly incorporated near you.
2) The Chasing The Wish mini puzzle/contest will begin this Saturday November 30th at a time to be announced. It will consist of several stages/tasks and the first people to solve the puzzles and complete the final task will win hot-off-the-press Chasing The Wish merchandise. Details will be sent via e-mail to all pre-registered players before Saturday November 30th.

/me really really wants to know the secret! what wish am i chasing? is it the wish that i grow extra legs and have free license to start kicking people? that'd be cool.

Actually, the info page has updated, with a link to a new updates page: check back on the 30th for info on the puzzle. There is also a new links page.

Hrm, apparently I didn't look far enough before getting excited and posting (it's never happened to me before, baby, I swear!). There is also a registration page now, with more information.

 		The front page has been changed now as well...we seem to have a Da Vinchi thing going here with the hands outstretched...allthough the hand to the far right seems to be poised to grab the other hand....also notice the reflection in the upper right hand corner of a spherical compass and the "S" for South....and at the bottom is a spinning star that navigates you to the menu page...

I can't wait for this thing to get up and running!!! I'm really not enjoying the Noah Boddy thing...it's been more of an "Outta Boddy" experience...it just drags on forever and I've been fairly dissapointed...some of the puzzles are allright, but the game has no flow whatsoever, at least for me.

Friday is another teaser with details of the mini-puzzle and Saturday the mini-puzzle starts with the first five people to complete the tasks walking away with some cool merchandise...

I'm Psyched!!!

 		I just noticed something else (and I'm also looking for another cheap post...I'm sick and tired of being a "Boot"...lol...) on the menu page in the header graphic, the Chasing The Wish logo is the same as the front with the arm stretching out, but the background has changed from a forest background to a mountain background...

But more importantly the hand to the right has not only changed position into a handshake kind of posture, but it has SIX fingers on it...or five fingers and a thumb depending on your point of view and how much of a pain in the butt you want to be....lol...

What's up with that? Has the game started allready with the clues???

Specs?

Just a mistake or a plant...I'm voting for a deliberate clue...

Also notice that it's a left hand on the logo and a right hand to the right...kinda backwards for grabbing hands or shaking hands...hmmm....

 		Last cheap post (at least for this morning) if you right click and check out the properties, you will see this addy for the opening page:

Which me thinks stands for "Chasing The Wish Logo Hand Right" which leads me to believe it's a deliberate clue...

 		It must be...why have a six fingured hand there if it did,'t mean anything? Certainly not the norm in society...not too many six fingered handed people walking around out there...

At least none that I've ever met...I have heard of one or two on occasion...but I think this must be a plant...

Now for what I'm not sure...

Fairies grant wishes... fairies on the site.... fairy fingers are six:
Finger; Little Thumb; Forefinger; Thimble-finger; Ring-finger; Little Finger"... don't know the importance just thought I'd share Smile

 		That's just as good a theory as anyone elses...actually I like it...it makes sense...I think this will include several Fairy references, I just never heard of the six finger thing before...Thanks Fran!

And since the logo on all the merchandise includes the six fingered hand, I'd say that the hand is indeed the Wish's and that he will probably be a Fairy with just that power...

Kinda cool I must say...

 		I got to thinking...maybe the clue isn't the six fingered hand with it being in the official logo and so on...

So perhaps the clue is the FIVE fingered hand at www.chasingthewish.com
...

Notice how the hand seems to be...I don't know...angry in it's pose...or perhaps in pain....

I don't know...maybe too much Egg Nog is clouding my judgement....lol...

Either way, enjoy the Mini~Quest, I wont be able to really get involved with that until Monday morning I'm afraid as I have a full weekend scheduled allready....sigh....oh well...
