 		I was listening to listening to the above posted address(http://www.ilovebees.com/comatas.html), and I was wondering if anyone is able to discern anything from the whisper in the background?

It's just "I love bees" over and over and over, with different 'voices'. Many times the voices will overlap each other, but as far as I can tell it's all the same phrase throughout the entire 3 files.

I don't have access to the backwards sound files yet, and don't have any good software (that I know of anyway) to reverse them myself to give my take on them.

Could the "voices" be from the messages people left on Dana's voicemail? That would be pretty great, although I don't know what help it would be.

 		If you reverse the file, all the 'i love bees' phrases sound a lot like 'sieben', German for 7. Probably wouldn't be anything to do with in-game puzzles, etc. but maybe the reason why ilovebees was chosen?

Interesting idea, but I don't know if that many females would have left messages with the words "I love bees". Though that could just be me Laughing Of course, there are also voices that sound like they belong to little kids too, and I doubt any of them would be leaving Dana messages.

Why wouldn't people be leaving voice-mail messages with the words "I love bees"? Isn't that the name of Margaret's web site? And didn't Dana's blog say something about getting a lot of messages about it? Mr. Green

*Definitely* hearing the word "connection" in changeling-child reversed. It's distinct and has been added in separately from the original file. Listen around the 20-second mark (that's 20 seconds from the beginning of the reversed file.)

(edit/add) There's nothing (at least, nothing this distinct) in the reversed tracks of opening-mouth, queen-piping, or building-a-voice.

True. And it occured to me. I guess there's just so many variations of the phrase being said that I have a hard time thinking that many people left a message like that. *shrugs*

But still, a lot of the voices only differ slightly, and like I said before, some sound very young. So I think that this is something different.

::EDIT:: Can anyone suggest some good free software to reverse the files, or post the reversed files here?

 		I'm sure this is irrelevant beyond belief, but the hooting in the newer "queen piping" wav file sounds quite a bit like the hooting made by the Sand People in the first Star Wars movie.
