Thanks. Smile
Yeah, I can hear "Connection" quite clearly, which wasn't something that happened with the other stuff we were 'hearing' in the other files. The other stuff though, such as "Hello" and "Light" I don't hear very clearly at all (though, I DID hear them only after listening once). "Connection" kinda seems to stand out to me, though I don't know why it'd be in here.

Didn't hear anything else, unless you count the fact that the beginning of the reversed file sounds like a bunch of Ewoks Laughing

Well we've found that the sounds say connetion. That's good enough.

We need to start focusing on what and how it applies to everything in the bigger spectrum outside of hidden sounds.

Just a noob guess

just a note I want to make

I was listening to the sound up above, and it sounded something like

"we are the connection" or something like that

just my 2 cents

yup...

"connection" is clear as a bell. As for the other words people are hearing... I think it's just coincidence.

Has anyone tried subtracting the sound of the unaltered bees1.wav file from the tainted one??

If someone has the skill/software to do this, the original bees1.wav file is mirrored at http://bees.netninja.com/mirrors/20040721/www.ilovebees.com/bees1.wav . It is interesting to note that the two files are of different sample rates (8000Hz originally; 11025Hz now), so I am guessing some kind of resampling needs to happen before the subtraction can occur.

On this extract from building-a-voice you can hear someone say "Ill kill you"
Its at about 6 seconds in the original file, not reversed.

Hi there,

Did you know that in the game Halo, one of the primary alien races which form the covenant are know as the Elites. To make the sound of their voices Bungie recorded normal speech, slowed it down and *reversed* it.

You can see how this is done at:
http://www.billmackenzie.net/xbill/xbox/halo/stuff/elitespeak.html

Hope thats of use it's my first post so please let me know if this is useful. There's also a few more bits of information I've noticed, related to obscure Halo info, that no-one else has picked up on but I'm not sure where to post it.

14 seconds in on building-a-voice, reversed.

It sounds like

"You're f*cked!"

(Bee)n lurking here for quite a while, but efter the metastasize, I've been searching for, what exactly is said in http://www.ilovebees.com/queen-piping.wav and in http://www.ilovebees.com/bees1.wav

Anyone who can tell me.
All I can here is someone complaining about bees or something.

To me, bees1.wav sounds like a young female and an older one:
At 00:00: Younger voice: "mom, bees!" or "c'mon, bees!"
At 02:29: Older voice: "bees?" (or it might be "all these bees" - there's something in the buzzing, that's just what it sounds like to me)
At 02:91: Younger voice: this one is definitely "c'mon, bees!"

At around 4:48 the younger voice makes a noise or says a short word but it's obscured by the buzzing.

At 05:10: Older voice: "bees..."
At 06:50: Older voice says something that lasts until 07:77 - I think I can make out the word 'longer' in the middle, but it's very obscure - I definitely get the feeling it ends in 'er' though, and the word 'these' at the end.
At 07:78: Younger voice: "bees!"
At 09:31: Younger voice: I think this is "I think I...", but I might have 'think' wrong - also it doesn't sound as young as before.

queen-piping.wav seems to contain only the 'older sounding' young voice from the end of bees1.wav, just saying "Oh jeez, I hate bees... I hate bees". There's also a sound-spike at around 1:30 that does NOT sound like it's part of the original sound;

When cropped out and slowed down it sounds like another (possibly distorted male) voice saying something, but no matter what I do to it (bearing in mind I'm using limited tools and even more limited skills) I can't make out what it is - I get the impression it's a 3-syllable word, possibly a name, because the third syllable is so short it could easily be 'man' like at the end of a name like 'Freedman' - it's just a 'mn' sound.

My summary's probably been done a thousand times before, but forgive me, I'm just testing the waters of this sort of thing - Audacity is a useful tool though...

We have a word "hidden" in a sound file. We found it by listening to the file a little awry. Could that be the SP giving us a clue. "Connection", I'm not sure what it means yet, but it could have something to do with the axon coordinates. Just a little spec though.

Yes it does, clear as a bell. Also, anyone else notice the very short clip of a lower tone right at the end of building-a-voice? maybe all the files link together somehow - if there's one that starts with an almost indiscernible low tone... maybe there's a pattern in here somewhere if they're chopped and changed in a particular way? I think that sound-spike from 'queen-piping' also belongs somewhere else, but for the life of me I can't work out where - and won't without picking apart every single sound file and checking at every speed, frequency, etc...

There'd be no point putting it there if it wasn't to signify something - could be a red herring, just wanted to know if anyone else had noticed it.

Sound Files Site

Hey,
Has anyone seen this site: http://ilovebees.tripod.com. The author's been playing with the files in the game, and has come up with some interesting stuff, some of which has been mentioned earlier in this thread.
There is a sound file for "life" (which may be "live") from the same one that contained "connection" that no one has mentioned.

Personally, I think it is trying to learn how to speak. First, it learned how to communicate through text, by cutting up messages and reorganizing them to communnicate. Now it seems like it is trying to learn to talk. I suggest that maybe we send it sound files so it can speak and see if it learns to embed them in sounds on the site.

Right, visited www.ilovebees.com/comatas.html an behold, I found a new soundfile.
I tried refreshing, and the old file came again.
The file can be found here: http://www.ilovebees.com/opening-mouth.wav
Melissa (Or Princess) have found a way to speak clearly!
