The Haolo anagrams I've seen don't make any more sense eather. Index this Ironclad Prediction? What in the universe is that supposed to mean.

Edit: Furthermore, supose it does say that. Lovely. How does this progress the ARG? How does it help us?

His point is wrong. It is easier to create 1 meaningful phrase out of lots of letters, but it gets harder to have everything make sense as you add letters. Unless of course "MRS. PURRIV" makes sense to you ...

Let me go ahead and say that I don't own an Xbox so I really don't care if a demo is being released or when Halo 2 is coming out. That being said..

This guy, Frankie, works for (being paid by) Bungie. So if this ARG is set up by Bungie, how are we suppossed to believe that he is telling the truth or saying what he is being paid to say? Is it really that far out of the reakm of possiblity that whoever is behind this would go that far to throw everyone off. Like I said, I really don't care what this has to do with the game (now a new book is a different story altogether now), if anything at all. I'm just stating my usual skeptical, (give me an argument that can be stated logically and rationally and I'll listen) and sarcastic/cynical opinion.

CorSorei,

Sorry, I think I might have made a wrong attribution. Looking through the post, it appears that 'Max' is posting for 'Frankie'. (The 'Max' might be Max Hoberman.)

I can understand (and appreciate) your skepticism. All I can tell you is that I _do_ own an Xbox Smile, and have been following Bungie and their games for a while. Bungie is reknowned for their excellent relationship with their fans. The Friday Update has been Bungie's main conduit of information for Halo/Halo 2 to their hardcore fans for about 3 years, I think. It seems a lot to risk to me, just to mislead arg players. I hope that's logical and rational enough for you Smile.

I posted this for the information of the arg players, not as an arg player myself.

Cheers,
ibshimo2 (aka sss, sorry, in the original post, I missed putting both my names in)

I never said I wasn't a fan of Halo. In fact I have the books and absolutely love them. I'll eventually get an Xbox (and therefor Halo & Halo 2), since I have a Birthday coming up. I just think misinformation is a great tool to use to throw people off, and as a result make people work harder and make the game more interesting/rewarding.

Hey all. I searched around for awhile and didn't find anything relating to this. There is an update on ign.com about Halo 2 and a revealing of it in London next month.

http://xbox.ign.com/articles/537/537008p1.html

It is at a show called Game Stars Live. It says that people in London will get to play the game before anyone else. LONDON??!!!! Why would they choose London? (Nothing against London, really!!) But Bungie is an American company, as is Microsoft. I really don't think they would be that silly.
Now I'm not one of the people that believe that the game Halo 2 will come out on August 24th, for I have it reserved for November 9th, and I know they are not done with it yet. But I am one of the people who believe that there will be a demo of the game out very soon, and it will likely be on August 24th.

So feel free to trout me if necessary, or direct me in the right direction with this. Just don't let it be a rotten trout. Razz

IMHO, I think it would point more to the idea that Bungie/MS might have similar events here in the U.S. on the 24th to what their doing in London.

Sorry to go way off topic here in this forum, so my advanced apologies to all.

Short answer to this question is to promote Xbox in Europe with one of it's exclusive titles, most Xbox owners are North American.

I'm just going to put this thread out of its misery. No anagrams! No xbox promotions!

OK, no anagrams unless meaningful ones! No anagrams with 150 characters!

And we'll find out on August 24 whatever the heck the PMs want us to know! Hopefully NOT an xbox ad!
