the game probably takes place all over the world, but so far, the only locations officially mentioned are in africa.

new mombasa (E3 2003 SP demo) - mombasa is the second most important city in kenya.

zanzibar beach (E3 2004 MP demo) - zanzibar is a large island off the coast of tanzania.

From what I've read, Halo 2 will be somewhat more epic in scale than the first. I seem to recall hearing that part will be set on Earth, but you'll also travel into Covenant space, and possibly to other Halos (there are a network of them scattered across space).

I think the location mentioned is just 'coincidence'. I have a hunch that this ARG isn't directly tied into Halo 2. That would be too easy.

Oh, it's clearly associated in SOME way with Halo 2 and Bungie (it's their ARG for sure - all the 7's are a clear giveaway), but I think the theories that it's going to straight up-and-up going to tell us half the story of Halo 2 is assuming far too much, and ignoring Bungies penchant for subtlety and telling stories set in the same universe, but distanced from the core material.

It's all theory until we know more, but I just have a hunch.

i think its not far-fetched to assume we won't necessarily ever figure out the whole thing. people are still trying to figure out the connection between Halo and Marathon, even after the Cortana letters proved they are connected.

for now, i think, we should figure out how this ARG is on its own. we already know its connected to Halo 2, how its connected can probably wait until the ARG is complete.

who knows, halo.bugie.org will probably have to create an 'ILoveBees Story Page,' where for the next couple of years, all of us who were involved in the ARG can discuss how we think its connected to Halo
