OK folks - I don't know if this has been posted yet in the forum - I've had this window open for awhile now trying to get it organized with all the talking going on. I haven't had time to read the HA posts tonight, and I've been inundated by dozens of Halo teenagers demanding to know why I'm the keymaster and to help them see, yadda yadda.

What pieced it altogether for me enough to understand what the heck people are talking about was this e-mail (apparently someone found me, despite my anonymous Dana blog post!):

You do not know me. I do not know you. However, I believe that your help is nessicary for something.

Please, bear with me on this.

If you follow game hype, then you probably know about Halo 2 coming out. Recently, the trailer ( http://files.bungie.org/halo2_teaser-trailer.mov ) was posted on a site called http://halo.bungie.org . Almost immediately after it was posted, people noticed that in the last few secconds, the www.xbox.com changed to www.ilovebees.com (you can see that here: http://members.optusnet.com.au/~anthony_johnson88/ilovebees.gif )

The people in the Halo community have been going crazy trying to figure out what the hidden messages on the ilovebees site mean. Several forums, including the http://www.bungie.net/Forums/ forums and the http://forums.unfiction.com/forums have started several threads about this.

Why am I contacting you about all this?

one of the threads on the bungie.net forums (this thread, in fact: http://www.bungie.net/Forums/posts.aspx?postID=382039 ) mentioned Sin Vraal being the key. I did a google search (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=Sin+Vraal&btnG=Google+Search), and this site showed up: http://www.schatzsuche.com/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000391.html

Maybe you think I'm crazy. Maybe you think this is not worth your time. But please, I beg of you - the Halo 2 fans need someone to help them. That thread is the best lead I've had. Maybe you could at least tell me what your name on that forums means?

So - I'm here to say I have no idea what this was about.

Except -

Using Occam's Razor - the only involvement I had with this game to this point has been to post happily in Dana's blog. You can find that post here:

The one thing I did - just to be cute mind you - was to be punny with a lot of bee words, including hiding one inshide "abhor netfolk" (HORNET).

Reading Cortana's gamefaq webpost - it sounds to me like Cortana and/or Dana have some words to be read between like that.

Does anyone have any light to shed or can link to another post somewhere? The contact inundation by countless Halo fans has been driving me absolutely crazy... but... I have been sending them to ARGN and Unfiction, so some good will come of it. =)

 		For whatever reason someone thought it would be clever to mention you in their own take on things - possibly to try to add some credence to their post.
Thread discussion aborted here. By the looks of the way this is being reacted to on various Halo/Bungie forums I'd change your address/phone-number/e-mail/hair/hat and socks ASAP ;)

I am one of the many that have recently been contacting Vraal in hopes to find out more about this ilovebees situation. As of now we are stumped, except for a few, which refuse to share information.

Actually, I"m quite flattered.

I just don't know that anyone understood the ramifications of the teenage hax0r mind and their ability to IM complete strangers on a lark that they might be related to a bee site. =)

There are already two threads that discuss Vraal. I'm sorry, he's a player. Just like me. Just like you. He is a living breathing person who just so happens to make rather witty responses during games. He is not a PM. He is not a character. He has nothing to do with this game besides playing it.

BTW - in relation to this - these guys contacted me with the belief from someone(s?) that this article has some important relevance/clues to something, but no idea what.

At least all these vastly different forums (ARGs + video games) are coming together! It makes me feel like the unbridled IM harrassment has been worth it =).
