[Spec] Network Throttling

You know, I thought this was a made up phrase at first. However, the Miscrosoft support site mentions throttling in a FAQ.
Quote:
Network Throttling Setting Results in Lower Network Transmission Speed

SYMPTOMS
If you apply a network throttling setting by using a network device such as a switch, the network transmission speed on a Microsoft Windows Server 2003-based computer may be lower than it is on a Microsoft Windows 2000-based computer. This may affect the performance of streaming programs, such as Microsoft Windows Media Services 9, on the Windows Server 2003-based computer.

CAUSE
This problem occurs because Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 have different minimum retransmission timeout settings.

So I'm thinking that there's a possibility of the Operator sloing down it's thought process so we're a little more likely to follow?

Then again, I could be wrong. I just typeset security books, I don't read them. Smile

Network throttling is a common term in computing. Your spec is inline with most of the current spec. Please continue to discuss it here.
