Wired Article

Just recieved the latest issue of Wired Magazine in the mail. There's an article about Halo 2. It's not that long, obviously there is not much to reveal about the game. Rather, it focuses on the main people at Bungie who are working on Halo 2. It has a little paragraph or so about each of the following people:

Joe Staten, Cinematics Director
Chris Carney, Environment Designer
Lorraine and Rob McLees, Weapons Artists
Eric Arroyo, Vehicle Artist
Marty O'Donnell, Audio Director

I find highly amusing the first word of the article, spoken by Pete Parsons, a manager at Bungie, "Behold!" In reference to the LRS or Living Room Simuator, where they are currently testing the game. They even mention the Halo 2 trailer that appeared in theaters, but no mention of ILB.

Googling for him turned up an interesting interview:

I wonder if he's been involved in the amazing audio play that's been unfolding?

[PRESS][OT]Local Newspaper Article About ILB

I saw this article, written by one of the local Madison axon hunters, in the local newspaper, The Capital Times.
Good article and a nice summarization for newbies. We'll see if it creates more hunters for next week.

Has anyone else seen coverage in their local papers?

FYI, we've been compiling any and all articles we find in this thread, including this one.

OK, so I got this email today:

Quote:
Hello, there...

This is Daniel Terdiman writing. I'm a reporter with Wired News
(www.wired.com).

I'm doing a story about I Love Bees, and I was given your email address by
the designers. I wonder if it would be possible to speak with you about the
project?

I'm sure you're busy, but if you had any time to speak with me today
(Thursday) or first thing tomorrow, that would be great, as I'm planning to
file my story on Friday afternoon.

Thanks very much. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.

Daniel Terdiman
Wired News

I arranged for him to call me this evening and just got off the phone with him after talking for about 1/2 hour. He said his story will probably go up Monday. I did record the call and will post it after the story goes up.

Well, it doesn't look like anyone posted it yet...
*winces for trout slap*
XBN ran a small article. I think you can find it at 1up.com, but I'm not certain.

Found these quotes funny from the November 04 issue of OXM:

pg. 15 sidebar
Quote:
ilovebees.com
No, we don't know what it means, and no, it obviously didn't mean a Halo 2 demo on our October disc. So quit bugging us about it. We're not in on it, and we're as confused as you are. Really.

pg. 35 bottom of the page caption
Quote:
BIG MCLARGE HUGE: Typical Xbox fame development teams tend to number around 20-40. Ubisoft has over 150 people working on Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. Daaaamn!

It spreads

Well, just spent another 1/2 hour on the phone with a guy from the New York Times. He's going to call back later, so I'll get more info (as in where and when the story will go up) then.
