(SPEC) Helping the Pious Flea/ Sleeping Princess learn

It's ovbious that whoever is getting out emails at ladybee777 is trying to help us. However, it's still learning how to communicate. It's taking snippets of our emails and restructuring them back at us to try to answer.

THEREFORE...

Let's teach it! Let's send it stuff full of images and humor and uniqueness. One, to teach it various things. But if we send it unique stuff, like poetry or dirty limericks, we'll be able to pick out which of us sent it! All I'm asking is that we each send one email for it. And try to keep it on the clean side. We don't need PF/SP spounting Penthouse letters at us.

I'll send it tales of various RTS games I've played.

I have a better idea, lets send it one email from all of us. A collection of stuff we'd like it to look at. Maybe even links (as it was able to reach Google, as seen from the puzzle). Let me start off with what I would like it to read:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oi=defmore&q=define:Internet
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=UTF-8&q=define:earth
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_English

PS, I'll send out a message with all of this stuff once we finalize everything we want to put into it. If you think that the entity may not be able to read sites, we can send the text.

It's only obvious that whoever is getting the emails at ladybee777 is trying to directly communicate with us. But how can we know it's benevolent if we don't even know who we should be helping? (Queen vs Princess)
We're just trying to solve the mystery, and it seems to be helping with that.

But I'm more concerned that it doesn't already know English.

Well, I think we're dealing with something out of time here. Might be the sand implacations throught the broken text. I'd say it needs a timeline as to show where we are technolgical-wise.

And I think it wants to express itself somewhat creatively. Send it some links to Shakepeare's plays. I already sent it a snippet of Twelfth Night where Viola washes on shore after the shipwreck. (I also sent it the lyrics to "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch," but that's besides the point.)

Amd this may be dangerous, but maybe people's LiveJournal sites so it can see how beople are on a daily basis, what we feel, what we think.

http://www.kids.us/

I'm tempted to send that link, as it IS learning about our world just like a child would.

Trout me if this hasn't been said before, but do you think it's the same AI replying to the e-mails, as the one who's answering questions in the Killer.jpg images? Because that one seems also to be using snippets of text.

Makes sense. Considering it even calls itself an innocent.

Should we give it a picture refence as well? So it can say "Oh! Tree means Gurglfeh!" Like someone learning a new language?

I'll trout you, but gently. That's how we think the Pious Flea is trying to talk to us, without The Operator noticing.

how about http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page ?

Just a thought, but do we know it can crawl links? Or do we need to send it to specific pages(rather than just a general site in hopes it will read the whole thing)?

I like this idea, especially since I suggested it elsewhere as did a few other people. It's nice to see that it's taking off.

I'll send it a copy of T.S. Eliot's "The Waste Land," and a link to my blog, and I'll probably introduce myself as well.

(Should this be in the INTERACTION section of the forum?)

[EDIT I posted a notice about my email to the entity in the Email from Margaret's Account Thread

Or we could combine all of these ideas by making a brochure that starts off saying, WELCOME TO EARTH, 2004! And then provide a lot of links and pictures inside of this brochure. If sending the sp/pf information will really make it speak in a less confusing manner, then perhaps a comprehensive collection of information (possibly made on microsoft publisher) would do the trick.
