[SPEC/PUZZLE] Time and Space: Sunrise

The Queen will return at dawn:

but the Widow said, "The day will break and the sun will rise when the Queen returns to rule

The countdown timer is set to 6:07 AM, local time, August 24.

This is such an odd time (not an even time at all) that it must mean something. The plain interpretation is that it refers to dawn at the location of the Keep (i.e., the Queen's location).

Now why is that interesting? Because, according to the Farmer's Almanac, sunrise on August 24 will be 6:34 AM in San Fran, and 6:16 AM in Redmond, WA (the in-game and out-game most likely locations). In fact, you have to go east all the way to the longitude of Needles, CA, to get a sunrise time of 6:07 AM in the Pacific Time Zone.

So what's going on here? Does the sunrise time indicate a location? (If so, we need a latitude marker as well as a longitude marker to determine it.)

Remember that the Operator wanted to determine navigation -- not astro-navigation (which we presume she did on ship), but terrestrial navigation, trying to figure out where she was and which way she should go.

If we could find the in-game location of this server, it might help...[/quote]

Perhaps the :07 is just Bungie's fascination with the number 7 cropping up again?

I should stop and add a [Wild Spec] tag to this post, because this might be the most wild speculation any one has ever done.

Does anyone think that 6:07 might not be a time, but a place? Is it possible to accurately calculate the second the timer will end on?

It will end at 6:07 am and 0 seconds.

Nevermind then. If there were extraneous seconds then maybe I'd have a leg to stand on.
