 		Ah, read the text again and it seems more obvious that Dana is the one who deleted the memories. Hope you can excuse me for getting confused, the Queen seems to hate *everyone* for some reason.

 		we've had a good amount of spec about everything in irc in #ontopicbees (because #beekeepers has degenerated to nothing but talk about halo) and a few things to add:

the operator AI is NOT in control of the email address. the AI is capable of coherent english and doesn't need to piece together words sent to her. the email has been hijacked by the sleeping princess. in the killer.jpg question/answers the hijacker talks about being encased in an airtight case and makes several other allusion to being encased in glass in a dungeon. also in the killer.jpg pictures it talks about the dream being her interpretation of what happend before she was awake. the sleeping princess seems to be trying to communicate with the oustide world covertly because the queen and spider are keeping her crippled. she is also learning how to use english and isn't sure what exactly is going on.


the operator apparently thinks that Dana is some sort of enemy military agent trying to kill her and dubs her "the killer" and is trying to find a way to kill Dana before Dana kills her; as opposed to the revenge theory you propose. as of right now the operator can't do anything with the computer it is on (i believe it's at Dana's aunt's house and not actually Dana's house) because it is so primitive.

from what has been gathered from the conversations, the ship that the operator was the AI on was an ONI spy vessel which intercepted some critical information regarding an impending attack on a planet called "Troy" but the officers decided that racing back to HQ would have blown their cover and strategic advantage.

 		Story and its influence on the summary
From the story of the Widow, it seems clear that the Queen is the Operator and the Widow is the Spider. Less clear is who the Flea is. The Manticore is a broken part of the ship/AI. It's written with the Widow (the Spider) as the main character. I'm not sure it adds anything more to the overall summary that I have, at least not yet.

I think you are right that the Operator has controlled the aunt's computer. I'll fix that.

 		Yeah the Queen definitely wants kill Dana, and it can't now because it is trap inside a box and the only device she can control from it is a webcam. However when it metastasize and even become wide awake and physical, she can then inflict harm to Dana. I am thinking along the lines of controlling traffic lights, or airplanes. For example, she could take control of the plane to China and crash it with Dana onboard. Shocked

 		I'm pretty sure that when it "metastasizes", it's going to take over a whole bunch of websites instead of ilovebees.com. That was what I was talking about in the last section of the summary.

Less clear is what happens when it's "wide awake and physical". Does that mean the ship is fully functional again and it can take off? I'm really not sure yet.

I am not trying to troll here, but if a space ship crashed to Earth, wouldn't it be pretty obvious--especially if it crashed somewhere close enough to the Bay Area to hook up with Dana's computer/phone/email/whatever? Even if it crashed into the other side of the world in the middle of the ocean and is using microwave communication satellite relays to contact Dana--why Dana and not you or me or some other person?

Now, to advance some wild spec where everyone thinks I am insane. Wasn't some of the Mayday text related to Gulliver's Travels? Wouldn't it be funny/cool/interesting if the ship that crashed to earth was Liliputian in scale? Perhaps it is microscopic, perhaps larger--like the size of an ant or bee? Perhaps the parallel between the mite infestation of the bees and the computer/AI "infestation" is more than symbolic? </wild-spec>

Not necessarily. It seems clear that it's a spy ship and even crashing it may well be effectively undetectable.

I think aunt magaret is the queen, what if the bees are the flood? Remeber she says the bees susally don't sting her, because they know her, and she also said that "wouldn't be great if everyone were more like bees?" as in she wants everyone to become the flood, after the same cause of serving the queen.

Well, since the very beginning I've also been wondering why and how the entity (including the SPDR) ended up in a San Fran server somewhere. At first I assumed the AI was pretty advanced, and could perhaps transport itself at will to any sizeable server, but as the story progressed, it became obvious that the Operator definitely didn't choose the location where it's at right now. So who made the decision ? The SPDR, in an attempt to protect the AI entity ? The question remains : how did it transfer all the AI data to a server in San Francisco, and WHY to that specific server, unless it was the nearest large enough storage place in relation to where the ship crashed...

All of the messages, I had to read from Keyes. He couldnt find his ay, through his own mind. He was trapped, inside his mind, much like a desert, slowly being killed by the flood, from within.

Metastasize: The spread from one part of the body to another. When cancer cells metastasize and cause secondary tumors, the cells in the metastatic tumor are like those in the original cancer.

Hive minds, hives, parasites, infection. Spread of infection, Spread of parasite.

The book hinted to indicates transformation, along with the letters and the messages. Remain yourself. Do not let them in.

The Flood are coming. Be prepared.

Ironically, the non-believers will be the last to go.

Follow the bread crumbs.
