On the first of these sites (which is found on ILB now), it comes up with an error and the picture Scream.gif

If you go to the second one, which is a link to Bungie's weekly update, halfway down the page is a quickly done picture that shows the same painting as scream.gif with a quickly done master chief helmet on him....

 		Nothing to see here, move along.

The Scream is a very famous Edvard Munch painting, its been used as a 404 error for years. It's also been used to comic effect in commercials and print ads for decades. This is just a coincidence, do a GIS for "the scream" and not only will the actual painting come up, but about zillion parodies and derivative works. What you found was just someone on the Bungie board having alittle fun with the Beta.
