I would NOT open the zip files. I wondered how long it would take the virus-spreading types to latch on to this game and start trying to use it to infect peoples' machine...

At the very least, get the zip file scanned by good, recently updated antivirus software...

On the subject of fakes: the good thing is that the in-game stuff is all really well written. All the fakes we've seen (at least, so far) have been adolescent trash, weak photocopies of the original text. I mean:

Yes, her EMAIL is danatwingSPLATgmail.com, but her last name is NOT Twing. Twing is a word that she likes to say. It's like Bungie's Blam. Her last name is Awbrey.

There is little doubt in my mind that these emails are hoaxes. Why would an in game character include a picture of Bill Gates in an email? Plus, as mentioned, that adress was a yahoo account, but the real adress uses Gmail. It is clear that this is another moron trying to pretend like he is part of the game.

This medium is unclassified and has STRONG HOAX INCLINATIONS

- The headers on the file were traced as originating from inside the University of Indiana's campus, Dana/ladybee emails come from San Francisco
- That snippit of code is DeCSS (used to decrypt the encryption on DVDs)
- The stuff contained in the zip file is actually a freaking XBox emulator

This is a hoax
