So, who works at United that can get a passenger list?
Couldn't we get a sizable amount of information about how she purchased her ticket and the what not from that?
We should ask the captain to detain her.

For those trying to see if we can track Dana's flight: her blog states that she got an "all-Asia air pass". Googling this leads to Cathay Pacific Airlines:
Quote:
For $999 travel to eighteen different destinations in Asia and this pass includes a round trip ticket from either New York or Los Angeles to Hong Kong. The journey must be completed within 21 days but extensions up to 90 days are available for additional fees.
There are 2 Cathay Pacific flights today from LA to Hong Kong. And I feel bad for Dana, because the in-flight movies look terrible

In which case she's either already left (01:55) or won't be leaving for some time (23:55) - schedule

I even wonder if it will lead to any more "damage" to the site. Unless the spider unwittingly uses her counter as a count down to do some more "throttling".

The Operator will be able to do things such as get into other computer systems, such as that of an airplane, more spesifically, Dana's airplane. If that is true, then The Operator will be able to go to other websites. But, I am not sure if Dana will die on an operator inflicted plane crash, because I am starting to think that the Pious Flea might be the antagonist of the story.
I think that a plane crash is too 'big' of an event for the game. However, Melissa is good with languages. I could easily imagine her doctoring up some sort of false security advisory on the Chinese side in order to get Dana in a heap of trouble.

I think the Operator cancelling her flight plans is more likely.
I mean, if Dana leaves the country, our only direct contact until the medium metastasizes is whomever is responding to ladybee777 emails. And they don't respond so often.
Of course, I'm mostly just hoping Dana can't get away - because I don't want the game to get smaller. I want more resources.

Lets hope she has electronic locks in her house hooked up to her computer, that way she can be locked in, very small indeed:P

Yeah... I don't think anyone outside paranoid delusionals and/or corporate headquarters have all their doors barred and lockable via central network.
I don't think we'll be seeing Dana anytime soon. Probably halfway to China now.

Being scared of your computer because it's openly theatening you isn't paranoid. It's common sense.
Being scared of the outside world to the point of wiring your security deadlocks to your computer is paranoia.
Big difference.

Actually, if you look at Cathay's All Asia Pass page it says something a little different.
Quote:
Your All Asia Pass includes roundtrip Economy Class air transportation between New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Vancouver, B.C. or Toronto and Hong Kong, plus 21 consecutive days of Economy Class travel to any or all of 17 other qualifying Asian cities.
This means she could be leaving from San Fran. Today's Hong Kong flight left at 1:30am and I don't think there is a flight tomorrow.
Also, if you want to see where Dana could go with the All Asia Pass visit this map page .

Hmmm. Well, since it looks like her first stop, no matter what is going to be in Hong Kong, is there a way we can get a message to her there. Short and sweet, say like in a newspaper personal or classified? And if we agree on sending a message this way, what do we want to say in it?

PS- Found the paper Dana's most likely to read, since her Mandarin is spotty. She'll want an English one.
Quote:
The South China Morning Post (also referred to as the SCMP) and its Sunday edition, the Sunday Morning Post, is the leading English language newspaper in Hong Kong published by the SCMP Group Ltd.
And it has online copies as well, if she's reading from a friend's computer.
