This could exist in the REAL WORLD RIGHT NOW.

So you're saying that at this very moment there could be an unknown AI "attacking" a website, here on Earth.

If so (I'm not ruling out BTW, although I admit I'm extremly skeptical about it) how do you explain the changed link on the trailer?

Advertising, damnit!

Just because a commercial is shown during a show, doesn't mean that there's a direct connection between the two.

You're skeptical about an escaped AI that was created by the military or something...

But not about time travel?

So you're suggesting that there's an escaped AI on the loose, and that's being public advertised? Rolling Eyes

When did I say I wasn't skeptical about time travel?

Edit: Whoops, put wasn't instead of was.

I'm going to have to call you on this one. The Halo 2 trailer is not a show, it is a promotional device paid for by Bungie/Microsoft with the intent of advertising Halo 2. It is not a show with its own accompanying paid avertisements, it is a commercial whose sole intent is to promote the products and services of a single company and/or companies involved in the principal product.

Unless you are to assume for some reason that Bungie would eschew the standard practices involved in advertising and instead sublet their own advertising to a completely and utterly unrelated web site, one must assume that ilovebees.com is either created, endorsed, produced, published, or subsidized by Bungie/Microsoft, and that considering its placement is thematically related to XBox and/or Halo [2].

These deductions are not stretches of the imagination, and given the evidence at hand are the most logical conclusions. Arguing that Bungie would place references to unrelated websites in advertisements which the company pays for the production and publication of seems to be the significantly less logical of the two conclusions.

whoever said that i was wrong because the widow was being repaired obviously didn't look at my entry long enough. I said the queen, laid to rest and killed off, was halo. as in the huge power that was being torn by war as queens usually are. The widow, meaning the lady with the tools, as i guess, is guilty spark. Guilty spark then goes on a journey (as seen at the ending of halo 1) to revive the planet. Master chief, being as he destroyed halo, is the assassin. The manticore is difficult, being that it would mean guessing as to what happens in the aftermath of the blast, but i believe it is a creature that presides under queen halo, as in a flood, that wasnt destroyed, like a boss. the pious flea must be a smaller character that helped sway the outcome of halo 1, like cortana. this is PURELY speculation, and for all the naysayers, denying the connection between halo and ilovebees.com, how is bungie, or even microsoft, HUGE organizations, gonna mess up an ad for halo, by putting ilovebees in there as the website for that split second??? completely animated and everything!! even if this glitch had the SMALL chance of actually happening, wouldn't you expect microsoft to recall the defective reels for the advertising, and get to the bottom of this itself? they're not that naive to not see it or just not do anything about it at all. this is completely between halo and its jumpy fans. stop overanalyzing this and just ride it off as a simple method of hyping the game up even more, such as the cortana letters did its predecessor.

You want things that specifically relate to the Halo universe? Okay well here you go:

1: seraph class = a Covenant space fighter
2: jump to Slipstream = the FTL travel used in the Halo-verse
3: Reach dockyards/ battle at Reach = the end of the first Halo novel entitled "The Fall of Reach" by Eric Nylund

Now before anyone goes and says I'm a Halo fanboy. First of all I've never played the game. Second, I don't even own an Xbox. All I've done is read the novels (just the first two), and there are way to many similarities that convince me that this has at least something to do with the Halo-verse. And the whole thing about time travel; in the first book the state the an object entering Slipstream can translate on a tempolar axis not just a spatial axis. I'm not saying all this to convince you just thought I'd provide some counter-arguments.

Look to the Wiki!

The Wiki Characters page

This should clear up some confusion on characters and their relation to the Halo universe. But one character it doesn't say much about is "The Widow". I agree with farout that The Widow is Guilty Spark 343. But we have to ask: what is his motive? Why is he a widow? And why is he constucting a weapon out of Melissa/"The Operator"? Maybe he thinks that doing so can help him activate the halo's and destroy the Flood...

Just my two cents.

The Halo wasn't meant to destroy the Flood, it was supposed to destroy their food source; namely us. So it could be that he wants to activate the Halo to kill all life so he can get revenge on us for destroying his home, Halo 04.

sleeping princess

after further investigation i have come to realize a connection between the "sleeping princess" and earth. being that it is a power much like the queen's that hasn't awakened yet. if there is a power to rival halo's, it should be something like another planet, and being that halo 2 takes place on earth, it just sort of fits. earth may have a hidden power in it. enough to eliminate the covenant.

I thought that the halo would kill all the flood's food (us), and once we are all dead, the flood would no longer have anything to eat or infect. Thus, the flood would naturaly die out... Question Question

Exactly. You just stated everything I meant, you just put it in a different way. Thanks for clarifying though, I was kinda tired and bleary-eyed from staring at my PC for so damn long. All I was saying was that it killed us not the Flood, and since we were dead they would starve. Kind of an indirect attack/result of the whole thing.
